Update on my reset from overworking…

What am I supposed to do with myself? 😂

Y’all, I made a Bundt cake last night… and frosting. I swear I’m addicted. But at least I wasn’t crunching numbers while ingredient prices change every five minutes. I wasn’t waiting on a pickup order or answering cake emails either. 😩✨

I’ve started brainstorming my next Cake Therapy event… but only a little bit at a time. Baby steps.

I do need to get serious about finding a commissary kitchen. And there I go again… already trying to solve six months of problems in one afternoon. 😅

Let me go sit down somewhere.

People always tell me how I can “boost” my business.
And I understand it comes from a good place. But sometimes I sit back and think…

Y’all don’t even realize how much I’ve already done.

I’ve traveled.
Built relationships with a cake family across America.
Been sponsored by a national brand.
Blogged.
Made cakes, cupcakes, treats.
Done pop-ups, festivals, weddings, birthdays, baby announcements, appreciation events.
Created youth and senior programs in my own city.

I’ve burned out.
Came back.
Then burned out again.

And somewhere in all of this, I learned something important:
what LOOKS successful online may or may not be real… but the impact and the work absolutely is.

Sometimes the biggest accomplishments don’t fit neatly into an algorithm. Sometimes success is in the people you touched, the rooms you created, the confidence you gave somebody, the children who learned creativity through your work, the adults who finally felt seen.

So thank you for believing I deserve more.
Thank you for seeing something bigger for me.

But please know…
I’ve literally done it all already.

And somehow, this is still only a few chapters of the story. ✨
