Back to the classroom I go! It’s been such a great summer of cookies, and I’m so grateful for everyone who ordered, shared, supported, and cheered me on! 🍪❤️ My summer markets are done, but the cookie biz is taking a little break as I start the school year and readjust to the teacher workflow. I’ll see you after Labor Day and return to normal ordering with a new website, some new flavors (hopefully!), and a fun fall drop! See you soon!

First and foremost, I hope everyone is ok after the storms and tornadoes on Monday! Besides another failed market and losing almost 70 pounds of cookie dough, our now three-day power outage hasn’t been that bad. Now let’s be real about farmers markets and weather - it’s a risk, but there is a lot of reward. How do you feel about markets as a baker or maker of any kind?

This weather has been a beast! I’m sorry, friends, but I had to cancel my spot at the Western Springs French Market tomorrow. You know those 217 doughs I made this weekend? Well, my power has been out since noon yesterday and the doughs have reached an internal temp just above 40 degrees, meaning they’re not safe to sell. I can hear some of my customers saying, “WHAT?! I’ll still eat them!” but I believe in doing the right thing, which even applies to some silly cookie dough. Your safety is my #1 and that’s how my business rolls. I hope to see you next Wednesday (unless the world decides to implode by then 😂). I know a lot of us are without power in the Chicago area, and estimates are saying Wednesday or Friday for getting electricity back, so hang in there everyone!
