When Hubs and I travel, we always make a point to stop at local grocery stores and stock up on sweets and other goodies to bring home. It’s one of my favorite ways to get to know the locals—and, of course, I somehow always end up turning the conversation toward bread. In so many regions, it’s truly a way of life.
We traveled over the summer, and I’m just now finally getting around to using one of my favorite finds: flour.
Sundays in our house are always dinner-focused and my favorite day to gather the fam around the table. I’m looking forward to sharing this loaf with everyone this evening, along with the story of the small town we stumbled across while we traveled.
This beauty was made with locally and freshly milled whole wheat flour from the Balkan region, and it smells absolutely delicious.
Happy Sunday, friends!
