Lets talk mini cakes! Some love them some don’t.

I personally think they are a headache while I’m making them but I love them afterwards because they are just so darn adorable! 🤗 But they could be so tedious to make, literally they are just as much work as the larger cakes yet people are shocked at their rates!

So I tend to stay away. But these were great for covid times when we ate our desserts alone in solitude 🤣… this here was a rare occasion where I had the pleasure of making these cuties.

What do you guys think should I bring back the mini cakes?! Let me know!

Still dreaming of this beauty! 🤍💚

I had no idea what I was doing with this one.

I just knew I wanted to make one of these trending rectangular cake in a deep olive green. That’s it. That was my only plan.

Decorated with: fresh ranunculus, cherries, a little baby’s breath, gold leaf and crushed pistachios around the edges. I kept adding things until it felt right.

Sometimes the best designs come from having noplan and just trusting the process. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you ever wing it and hope for the best? Cause I feel that’s how I’ve been doing life lately. 😅lol

This cake almost didn’t happen…

Pregnancy exhaustion took over this weekend. I had zero energy, took multiple naps during the day, and didn’t even start decorating until 2am the night before pickup.

I honestly wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out.

And yet… this is what came out of that chaotic night in the kitchen.

Funny how sometimes the hardest moments still create something beautiful.

Pero bueno, enough about lo struggles.
