As I was watering the cows today in the 100+F heat, I thought it would be a good idea to share pics of the clouds in the sky over the farm. The colors were wonderful. The breeze helped take the sting out of the yucky temperature. Our farm is situated on one of the highest points in our County, so we appreciate that we have wind often. Until it's tornado time, and then we don't like it as much. LOL We hope your day was awesome.

When you look at my gardens, you will see Morning Glory plants in many locations. In our family, they are called Grandpa’s Morning Glories, after my Dad.

The story goes like this. . . My Dad went into the military at 17. He left the small family farm in Indiana with dreams of travel and a handful of flowers seeds to remember home. His career took our little family to 11 different duty stations thru the years. At every new home those seeds went into the ground. They always flourished and gave us more seeds in the fall. As a child it was my job to collect those seeds each year.

When I left home to start my family, I too carried those historic seeds. Each of my children planted the seeds and heard the stories of where they have been. So, at 70, I still savor the flowers of my father’s childhood farm. Each of these bright flowers carry the miles and memories of my childhood and those of my children. All because a young man knew he would miss those farm flowers . . . ❤️

Today is our 44th wedding anniversary. Some days it feels like yesterday. Some days it feels like 144 years. Broke all my old records with this one. Kissed a lot of toads and married two of them before finding my charming prince. He's my guy ... I think I'll keep him awhile longer. Vicki and Rollie (aka Stud Muffin)
