Despite the challenges of MS, Pam ran Baked from her wheelchair (the past couple of years), inspiring the community with her unwavering spirit. She loved the warmth of Dewey (the sense of belonging she created at Baked), her country (she served in the Army Reserve for 6 years), and her family & friends.
In loving memory of Pam, we're hosting a short MS Walk on 4/20/24, a special date much like the unique person Pam was. The walk starts at Baked by Dewey at 4:00 pm and ends at the Lighthouse with a toast to honor Pam. Baked by Dewey is generously sponsoring the event – we're so grateful they kept Pam's legacy alive in the name.
4/20/24 is the perfect date for the event because it's a palindrome (not what you were thinking). Palindromes are considered lucky because they're rare. My twin sister Pam was a very rare "one of a kind" soul. She was a hardworking entrepreneur, a dreamer, and generous to a fault. The world was a better place with her in it.
Please join us to celebrate Pam's life and raise awareness for Multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, causing the immune system to attack the body. It's a devastating disease that robs a person the control over their own body.
If you can't join the walk, donations are welcome:
The National MS Society's vision is a world free of MS. The Society mobilizes people and resources so that everyone affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.
