We have some exciting news!! We will be at The Congregation Detroit farmer’s market on Wednesday June 2nd from 3pm-7pm. Come by, check us out and help support small businesses and local farmers. Did we mention we’ll be bringing these strawberry rose pop tarts!! Can’t make it June 2nd, don’t worry we’ll be at the market all summer through the fall. Stay tuned for more info

New Pastry Box!! Our Spring Time Picnic pastry (lunch)box is available to order for $30, pick up this Sunday 4/25 11am-1pm. We know Michigan has some very bipolar weather but this Sunday is suppose to be beautiful. We suggest getting some fresh air and enjoying this beautiful spring weather with our pastry (lunch)box. This box will include:

She is the oldest living member of her church and they are helping her celebrate with a big zoom party with take away dinners and strawberry lemon cupcakes from us.

Who is Walter Pat?
Walter Patton (Pat) is my maternal grandma, aka my Granny. [“My” being me… owner and pastry chef, Lauren.] She is a strong black woman, born during the Great Depression in Mississippi and named after her father. Her father was convinced that she wasn’t his child because of the light color of her skin. To prove him wrong, her mother named her Walter. She is a hard worker, great hustler, and giving woman, which all led to a successful and fulfilling life. She will be 90 next month but you wouldn’t know it; her mind is sharp and she’s still spreading wisdom. Walter Pat’s Bakery Cafe may be named after her, but it’s a love letter to all of my family, and a tribute to all the strong women in my life who helped raise me
