The Confectionery Express, LLC Sugarcoating everything is my specialty! My name is Alicia, I have lived in DeSoto, MO my entire life. A small town where everyone knows everyone.

A small town where small businesses are thriving. A small town that lacked a bakery. I began cooking around the age of 17 for friends and family. I was always told I should open up a restaurant or a bakery someday and then October 1st, 2022 I decided it was the day. I chose the name, The Confectionery Express, after the town I grew up in. DeSoto revolves around the railroad and most businesses are known for some sort of "train" related name. I do deliver a lot of my goods since I own an in home bakery. I have worked hard to maintain a good reputation and being punctual with all my orders. My goal is to one day be successful enough to open a store on Main St. and one day leave my 9-5. I am very thankful for how far I have come and I cannot wait to see where I go.

Due to the weather, The Confectionery Express stand will be CLOSED today, Wednesday, October 14th!

The safety of our customers is important to us, and we would rather everyone stay safe and dry! ☔

I have a question for all of you, and I genuinely want your HONEST feedback! 👇

When you’re looking for a small, self-serve stand to shop at, what are YOU looking for? 🤔

As a small business owner, one of my biggest priorities is making sure you’re getting fresh, delicious, quality products that are worth every penny you spend!

Personally, when I shop local, I want highly recommended products that I know are fresh and won’t end up getting tossed in the trash because they’ve been sitting on a shelf too long.

At The Confectionery Express, I try to keep as many items as possible in our cooler to help maintain freshness. But let’s face it, some things, like our homemade loaves of bread, just aren’t going to fit in there! 😂🍞

I’m constantly trying to find that happy balance between keeping our stand stocked with a great variety and making sure everything stays as fresh as possible.

So I want to hear from YOU! ❤️

🍪 Do you prefer a stand that’s fully stocked with lots of options, or fewer items made fresh more frequently?

🍞 How important is knowing when something was baked?

🧁 Would you rather see smaller quantities restocked daily?
