🥨🍺 Oktoberfest at The Argyle! 🍺🥨

Our residents traded the usual afternoon routine for a little taste of Bavaria, and what a celebration it was! The band had toes tapping and hands clapping from the very first song, the b**r was flowing (root b**r too, for those who prefer it!), and those warm, salty pretzels disappeared faster than we could set them out. 😄

There’s something special about gathering together over good music, good food, and even better company. Seeing our residents laughing, swaying to the music, and raising a glass together is exactly why we do what we do. 💙

A huge thank you to the band for bringing the oom-pah energy, and to our amazing team for making the afternoon so memorable. Ein Prosit to our wonderful Argyle family! 🎶

🦋✨ No Dream Is Too Small ✨🦋

This week, a group of our Argyle residents spent the day surrounded by color and wonder at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster! 🌺

For some of our long-term residents, visiting the Butterfly Pavilion has been a dream for years. They talked about it, wondered about it, and hoped they'd get the chance someday. Well, someday came, and we made it happen! 💛

Inside the tropical conservatory, more than a thousand free-flying butterflies from rainforests around the world drifted all around us. A few even landed on our residents for a closer visit! 😊 Beyond the butterflies, the group explored the creepy, crawly side of the animal kingdom too: tarantulas, scorpions, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, and more. 🕷️🦀⭐

Fun fact: the Butterfly Pavilion opened in 1995 and was the first stand-alone invertebrate zoo in the world, right here in our own backyard! 🌎

At The Argyle, we believe dreams don't have an expiration date, and no dream is too small. Seeing the smiles, the gentle hands held out for a butterfly to land on, and the pure joy on our residents' faces reminded us exactly why we do what we do. 🦋💕

🏈🧡 Broncos Game Day at The Argyle! 💙🏈

Yesterday our residents traded their everyday wear for orange and blue and turned The Argyle into Broncos Country! 🐴🙌

We gathered around the big screen with game day snacks, plenty of cheering, and even a little friendly trash talk. 😄 From lifelong fans who remember the Orange Crush days to newer fans just learning the rules, everyone had a blast rooting for our team together.

There's nothing quite like the energy of a room full of neighbors high-fiving after a big play. Moments like these are what community is all about. 💛

Thank you to our wonderful team for setting up such a fun afternoon, and to all our residents for bringing the spirit!

A century of stories, laughter, wisdom, and grace. Marjorie has seen the world change in more ways than most of us can imagine, and through it all she brings warmth and joy to everyone around her. We are so lucky to call her part of our Argyle family. 💛

The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and The Argyle is getting ready for a frightfully fun month! 🍂🦇 Mark your calendars for two spooktacular events:

🕸️ Staff & Resident Halloween Party: Thursday, October 29th
Dust off those capes, witch hats, and creative costumes! We'll be awarding prizes for the best costume worn by a staff member AND the best costume worn by a resident. 🏆 Who will take home the crown this year? 👑

🍬 Our 3rd Annual Indoor Trick-or-Treat: [DATE & TIME]
Our doors are open to the public! Bring your little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes for a safe, cozy, indoor trick-or-treating experience where our residents will be handing out the goodies. 🧙‍♀️🦸

🍭 Help Us Fill the Cauldron!
We're now collecting candy donations so our residents can treat every trick-or-treater who comes through our doors. If you're able, please drop off individually wrapped candy at our front desk. Every piece makes a little one's night (and puts a big smile on our residents' faces)! 😊

💐🌸 Have You Noticed Our Fresh Flowers? 🌸💐

Next time you stop by our dining rooms, take a moment to admire the beautiful fresh flower arrangements on the tables. Did you know they're the inspired creations of our very own residents? 🌷

Each arrangement is lovingly designed by resident hands, and it's their creativity and handiwork that fill our dining rooms with life, color, and beauty. 🌼 And let us tell you, they have an absolute blast doing it! Between the laughter, the snipping, and the friendly debates over where the sunflowers should go, it's one of the happiest gatherings around. 😄

Our residents enjoyed a well-deserved day of pampering at Snappy Nails, complete with fresh manicures, relaxing pedicures, and plenty of laughs along the way! 💖

One or two times a month, The Argyle treats our residents to a mani-pedi outing, because feeling your best matters at every age. 🌸 It's not just good for you, it's good for the soul! A little color, a little care, and a lot of great conversation go a long way. 😊

And here's the best part… did you know The Argyle picks up the tab? That's right, no resident ever has to pay a cent. 💛 It's just one more way we show our residents how much they're cherished.

🏔️☀️ A Day in the Mountains: Breckenridge Edition! ☀️🏔️

Our residents traded city streets for mountain air with a day trip to The Grand Lodge on Peak 8 in beautiful Breckenridge! 🌲

We fired up the grill for a delicious lunch 🍔, soaked in the hot tubs with a view of the peaks ♨️, and soaked up that glorious Colorado sunshine. Pure mountain bliss!

Then we set off on an adventure to meet one of Breckenridge's most famous residents… the Breckenridge Troll! 🧌

Meet Isak Heartstone, a 15-foot gentle giant made entirely from recycled pallets, scrap wood, and fallen branches by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Isak got his name from a heart-shaped stone that local kids gifted the artist, which he placed right inside the troll's chest. 💛 He's one of dozens of trolls Dambo has built around the world to share a message about recycling and caring for our planet. Today, Isak rests on the hillside along the Trollstigen Trail (Norwegian for "road of the trolls"), leaning against a tree and peering down at visitors with a friendly grin. And the best part? The trail is accessible for all ages and abilities, so everyone could join in the fun! 🌿

🎶☀️ Happy Hour on the Patio with Mavrik Mike! ☀️🎶

The weather was simply beautiful for this week's Happy Hour, and we soaked up every minute of it in the Cloister Garden here at The Argyle! 🌿🌸

Mavrik Mike filled the garden with live music, our residents filled their glasses 🥂, and the sunshine filled everyone's hearts. Toes were tapping, voices were singing along, and a few dance moves may have made an appearance too! 💃🕺

All in all, it was a gay old time! 😄 A big thank you to Mavrik Mike for bringing the tunes and making the afternoon one to remember. 🎸💛

🏈🧡 What a Sunday at Mile High! 🧡🏈

Last Sunday, our resident Barbara cheered on the Denver Broncos against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Empower Field, surrounded by 7 of our amazing front line staff members! 🙌

It was a great game from start to finish, and for many in our group, it was their very FIRST pro football game! There's nothing quite like the roar of the crowd, the sea of orange and blue, and sharing that experience with people you care about. 💙

Moments like these are what community is all about: our residents and the team members who care for them every day, making memories together. 📸 Check out our pics below!
