💥Story time! A free Craigslist table, an idea, and a blind passion for something new.

Crazy to think 3 years ago I was tinkering around in a shared living room, on this table, with a jar of ill-kept starter, a few 5 # bags of flour, and A LOT of books.

When I created this page, it was solely meant to be a visual feed of my home-baking projects, some kind of outlet while I hustle as a cook. I baked for fun, to share some tight food with friends. I wanted to create a space to be black out loud and work on the craft. The thought of selling anything was "...maybe in a year?" And not a few days later, two wonderful journalists, .duncombe and , reached out to me about what I was doing in my home kitchen. The response from the Denver gang was insane! I still hustle as a cook, but now I find myself regularly pushing the limits of a home oven.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be moving, I'll be roommate-free, and the R&D games will truly begin! With the move, I'll be taking a brief hiatus to organize my personal life a little, and work on these new menu items.

I don't know who needs to read this, but for the love of all things good, find out. If you're passionate about something, find out if you love it. If it keeps you up at night, nagging you from the corner of your brain, find out. Take the idea from "yo that would be so dope..." to "yo this is so dope!"

You might suck at first, that's fine. Work on your craft because you love it, surround yourself with like-minded individuals, let the rest shake out, f*ck around and find out. ✌🏾

Sending good vibes to all my fellow bakers working their buns off to feed us this holiday season! I'm taking the day off, working on some R&D, and finding out exactly how much green chili and tortillas one can consume. Is there a limit? Y'all get fat, be happy, hug someone you care about!

Smoky or sweet?

With the help of the good people at , I've been experimenting with brewers' grains in breadmaking. The aroma and caramelization of these grains (generally used in beer/whiskey) is unreal. Pictured: peat-moss smoked sourdough, and Canadian honey malt loaf.

Any brewers/distillers in the chat? I need to pick your grains!
