Good morning and happy Saturday!

Did yalls temperatures drop? Who turned on their heat already? I know my husband would if he was home. 😆

I just planted 2 full beds of garlic. One is 12×4 and the other is 8x4. If I don't have a good harvest next summer it won't be for lack trying. 😂

I got a full yard of dirt from my local garden center and mixed in perliteand compost which was mostly made up of chicken manure. 🤞🏻

I've been absent for a minute due to our son experiencing a medical emergency. I'm trying to see what our new normal will be.

In the meantime...I'm getting photobombed by the cutest pup while I admire some of my guineas and one of my turkey hens.

I don't usually post my children's faces on my business page or include them much on here. However, I'd like to share what's been going on.

My 18 month old son suffered 2nd degree burns on his leg. He climbed into the bathroom sink and turned it on while we were all getting ready for co-op. He sat under scalding water for only a few moments.

We spent 3 days in PICU and had our first follow up appointment today. The burn unit is located in Lafayette, which is an hour and a half away from our home.

The road to recovery for him is going to be long one and I will likely be downsizing on birds to better focus on my family. However, my response time may be delayed. Please be patient.

I would also like to warn others, in case they don't know because I didn't, hot water heaters can be adjusted and should not exceed 120°F. Ours apparently was set to 150°F. Also the number one causes of scalding burns on kids are from foods like Ramen noodles or macaroni and cheese.

My family is home and recovering. I will not be conducting any business or responding to messages for at least another week.

We are experiencing a family emergency.

Orders and business in general is suspended until next week. I will not be responding much to people.
