💕🧁 DUBROC CAKES IS CONSIDERING SOMETHING NEW!! 🍎🍪

Y’all, I’ve been thinking about trying something a little different while I slowly ease my way back into baking! 👀💗

I’m considering setting up a SELF-SERVE PORCH PICKUP right here at my house! 🏡🎂

The idea would be to stock my porch with individual desserts for y’all to purchase. You would pay first, then stop by and pick up your goodies! 🛍️🍰

This would allow me to bake in the little pockets of time I have available while still being home with Isiah and my family. ❤️ I’m not quite ready to reopen regular cake orders just yet, but I miss baking for y’all, and this might be the perfect way to start back slowly!

Would y’all prefer individual treats to be budget-friendly, or are you willing to pay a little more for specialty desserts? What prices would you expect for cake slices, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, caramel apples, homemade bread, and pies? 👀💗
I want to offer something for everyone while making sure my time, ingredients, and hard work are covered! 🫶🏻�

I’m thinking everything would be individually packaged, with prices clearly marked and payment required before pickup while also being able to pay for things you’d like to grab while you’re here. It would be first come, first served, so once something sells out, it’s gone until the next restock! 💗

❤️ A LITTLE UPDATE FROM DUBROC CAKES ❤️

First and foremost, I want to take a moment to thank every single one of you who has continued to support me, my small business, and my family. Whether you’ve placed an order, shared a post, recommended my business to someone, or simply checked in on me, please know that it means more to me than you’ll ever know. 🥹🫶🏻

These past few months have been a big adjustment for me and my family. Welcoming Isiah into the world has been such a blessing, but it has also meant learning how to balance motherhood, family life, and running a business all over again. 💙

Please know that I have NOT given up on DuBroc Cakes! 🎂❤️ I absolutely plan on returning to cake orders eventually. Baking is something I love, and I miss creating all of your special treats! However, right now, I still need a little more time to focus on my family and adjust to this new chapter of our lives.

For the time being, I’m considering offering caramel apples as a way to ease back into things at my own pace. 🍎🍫 I’ll be taking things one step at a time, working in the little pockets of time I have available while making sure my family gets the time and attention they need.

I know some of you have been waiting patiently for me to reopen cake orders, and I truly appreciate your understanding. I don’t want to rush back before I’m ready, and I want to make sure that when I do return, I can give your orders the time, care, and quality they deserve. ❤️

My family comes first, but DuBroc Cakes still has a place in my heart. I’m not saying goodbye — just taking the time I need before making my full return! 🥰

I forgot all about this but Isiah was born 7lb 6oz on 7/06 and Dawn Ibarra was the closest guessing 7lbs born 08/07. He was born 6 weeks early but was still a big boy. He is now 3 months old weighing 13lbs and 22” long. Thank you to all of my supporters. Yall mean the world to mean and I can’t wait to get back to the orders when the time is right!!!!

I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and baby boy weighs 5 oz!

Several of my customers have reached out asking for an update on my pregnancy, and I finally feel ready to share a little of our story.

This has, without a doubt, been the hardest season of my life.

What was supposed to be one of the happiest times turned into a fight that lasted months.

💙 29 days in spontaneous labor
💙 Placental abruption
💙 Preterm labor
💙 Emergency C-section
💙 2 months in the hospital
💙 Delivered at just 34 weeks
💙 Preeclampsia
💙 Increased placental weight
💙 Excess amniotic fluid
💙 A 7-pound preemie
💙 Ventilator for 2 days
💙 CPAP for 4 days
💙 On-and-off jaundice for several days
💙 A long struggle just to get back to his birth weight
💙 trying to get my diabetes on track because breast feeding affects diabetes
💙 struggling with type 1 diabetes even though I haven’t had a problem in years even with pregnancy

There were so many moments filled with fear, uncertainty, and tears. There were days I didn’t know what tomorrow would look like, and nights spent praying that both my baby and I would make it through. It tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways I never imagined.

Today, I’m incredibly thankful to be home with my son. Every feeding, every ounce he gains, every milestone he reaches feels like a miracle after everything we’ve been through.

Many of you have asked when DuBroc Cakes will reopen. The truth is… I don’t know.

While I was away, many new bakers opened their businesses, and things have slowed down significantly. But more importantly, this pregnancy took everything out of me. I am still healing from the trauma, recovering from major surgery, learning life as a NICU mom, and trying to be the best mom I can be.

Right now, my family needs me more than my business does.

I don’t know what the future holds for DuBroc Cakes, but I do know that I have to give myself the grace to heal before I can pour my heart into creating for others again.

Thank you to every single person who has checked on us, prayed for us, sent encouraging messages, and supported my business—even while I was gone. I have read every message, even if I haven’t had the strength to respond. Your love has carried us through some of the darkest days of our lives.

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we navigate this new chapter. We are taking it one day at a time, and for now, that’s enough

What did yall do/use to help with milk production

I updated my registry with what we didn’t get since so many people asked us to at the baby shower
-We also didn’t get any diapers but a family at the church had given us newborn diapers prior to the baby shower so if you buy diapers please get size 1+
-we did get one case of wipes
- I would prefer arm and hammer sensitive over dreft. I used arm and hammer for the kids and it was just as good and cheaper
- we got 2 newborn outfits. I don’t want to go crazy with the newborn because he will probably grow fat but I do need a couple for the first couple weeks (we just stopped at carters and got a couple newborn things)
- we got plenty of rags, towels and blankets. I got a couple swaddlers but I was looking for the Velcro type for dad
- we got one thing of soap and lotion, a couple travel sized lotions and 2 diaper rash creams

Now that I have told all of my family, I am not taking anymore orders until Isiah is born. I am back in the hospital and may be here for the next 4 weeks. We love yall and thank yall for all your support
