In case you didn’t get to see Jenn’s post, I was given the honor of creating Ansley’s dream wedding cake last weekend! And if that wasn’t already such a special moment, I was also tasked with restoring their third generation cake topper!

The cake topper, an original 1970’s Wilton production had yellowed quite a bit. Its flowers were crushed and wires rusting from being stored in between Grandmother’s wedding, mother’s wedding and now for the grandson’s beautiful bride. Every artist has a handful (or more) of side hobbies in their arsenal and thanks to the years of painting experience my oldest daughter has, I’ve picked up on some of her tricks of the trade. That along with my best friend’s teachings in silk flower work, I was thrilled to restore and personalize this heirloom!

I have been so blessed with comments of adoration of this cake’s taste, beauty and craftsmanship from so many people that I am beaming with pride! Not only was the cake beautiful, but THE VENUE 😍 what an exquisite location! If you’re looking for the most spectacular place to have your wedding, Stone Haven is absolutely THE most stunning vision of perfection with its gorgeous conservatory and stone balcony to hold your ceremony on a mountain, overlooking the Tennessee River! (Seriously Jenn…I saw your post months ago and immediately started drooling 😍)

✨🎄A Heartfelt Holiday Update from Couture Cakes by Pam🎄✨

To my wonderful customers and the Demopolis community,

As we approach the most magical time of year, I want to share an important update regarding my holiday schedule. To ensure I can continue giving you my absolute best, Couture Cakes will be closed during the week of Christmas.

I am officially shifting my focus to much-needed rest and family time. I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I know many of you are looking for that perfect holiday treat, and trust me, as much as I want to bake every single idea I’ve had this season (and I’ve had so many!), I have to save those creative sparks for next year. I will not be able to take any last-minute Christmas orders during this time.

Thank you all for making this year so incredible. Your support means the world to me! I am so excited to return in the New Year with a renewed spirit, a refreshed mind, and a body ready to get back to what I do best: creating the most delicious and creative cake designs for you. 🎂❤️

I’ll be making this post to all three pages, so bear with me.

The past three weeks have been a whirlwind and I still feel like I’m spinning! It’s 3:00 in the afternoon and I’ve just reached a point where I can reconnect fully.

The instant we found out Christopher would be leaving soon, I went to work and haven’t stopped! Momma-mode kicked in to give him the best three weeks we could give him!

Preparations for a nice Thanksgiving with just us, immediately followed by cakes due and getting to the last (and only) USM game I could attend this season, immediately into COTR prep that was derailed by cell phone and internet outages and an unnecessarily lengthy trip to hobby lobby for overpriced packaging, followed by possibly the busiest COTR booth I’ve ever had, immediately jumping into prep for a going-away gathering for family the next day, followed by Christmas prep for an early celebration with him, an adventurous almost-trip to the airport derailed by a tire adventure I couldn’t even compute, watching my son leave with the kids so he could make it in time, then swinging through Poplarville and Slidell to surprise a sweet friend of ours on her 16th birthday and graduation (yep, graduated at 16!), all while doing my best to maintain home, family, meals, cleaning, decorating and barely holding onto two businesses.

Any woman who has ever hosted a single holiday function in their life has just passed out from exhaustion just reading this.

I’m not posting to complain, in fact I’m so overwhelmed with pride for my son as well as all we accomplished in the few weeks he had left living in Demopolis! I’m posting to say, I may be a little slow to respond today but I’ve gathered most of myself back together and am almost back on track. It is Tuesday right?! 😅

I will begin posting some last-minute treat offers tomorrow for your family gatherings! And if we have a running machine, some cute 3D printed stocking stuffers! I’m so glad to start slowing down enough to catch up and get back to my regular busy! Thank you all for being so patient over the last few weeks! I am so very grateful for your business and your support over the past month. I could not have pulled this off alone and I didn’t ❤️

Family, friends, customers….you’ve all helped me make this happen and I can’t be more thankful for the amazing people that surround us 🫶🏼

There just aren’t enough words to express how thankful of and proud I am of how wonderful Saturday went!

Behind the scenes, plans made, plans interrupted, chaos ensued, sleep lost and we managed to pull it off with the help of family, friends and this amazing town! All of our hard work felt worth it all when at the end of the day the only products to pack away fit in one tote 😱😍🥰

If you’ve been waiting for a response from me on an order, you’ll get it today! Between COTR, regular orders, a going-away gathering with family for our son and all of regular life, we had to take yesterday off to recover and are back to it all today. Thank you for your patience!
