🤎 A LITTLE RE-INTRODUCTION… 🤎
There are quite a few new faces here, and I realized some of you may know my bread…but not the story behind it. 🥹🍞
Hi, I’m Racheal — wife, mama of 2 littles, lover of Jesus, baker, recipe tester, dishwasher, packager and the person behind Knead & Nourish Sourdough Bakery.
Before all of this, I spent nearly 10 years working as a nurse.
My sourdough journey actually started for a very simple reason: I wanted to feed my family real food with fewer ingredients. I started learning how to make more things from scratch, and somewhere along the way, I completely fell in love with sourdough.
But the reason this became a business is even closer to my heart.
I worked throughout the first year of my oldest daughter’s life, and eventually I sat down and did the math.
I realized that if I could build something of my own that brought in enough to cover our groceries and a few small bills each month…I could stay home and raise my babies.
So one day, I took a leap.
I left my job and decided to put my time, energy and heart into building this little bakery. 🥹
And little by little, loaf by loaf, Knead & Nourish grew.
The name means so much to me because this has never just been about selling bread.
It’s about nourishing our families with real, homemade food.
It’s about slowing down and getting back to making things from scratch.
It’s about supporting local families and building a community.
And for me personally, it’s about creating a life where I get to be present for the little moments with my children while also showing them what can happen when you work hard for something you believe in. 🤎
Today, my kitchen is usually covered in flour 😂 and I’m baking everything from traditional artisan sourdough and flavored loaves to cookies, seasonal treats, granola and my Power Dough higher-protein sourdough line.
And somehow this dream has even grown into our little roadside Loaf House. 🍞🏡
Every loaf you buy, every post you share, every friend you tell and every time you pull into that driveway—you are helping make it possible for a mama to stay home and raise her babies.
And I don’t think I’ll ever be able to adequately explain how much that means to me.
So whether you’ve supported me from the very beginning or you just found my page today…
Thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting small. And thank you for helping me build a dream I once wasn’t sure was possible. 🤎
Now I want to know…
👇 How did you find Knead & Nourish?
Were you here from the beginning? Did a friend send you? Did you drive past the Loaf House? Or did one of my posts randomly pop up on your feed?
I’d LOVE to hear it. 🥹🍞🤎
