Earlier today, I delivered to Johnson's Department Store and Southern Sweets Bakery in Etowah and White Street Market in Athens. It was my usual fare.........fresh, organic, homemade sourdough artisan and sandwich loaves, freshly milled Ezekiel loaves, along with cinnamon-raisin and cinnamon swirl (the one with the double swirl)!! I hope you will drop in to one of these fine establishments to pick up a loaf and do a bit of shopping.

For the past several months, I have been trying to create an artisan sourdough loaf using only freshly milled flour. Let me just tell you that it is not for the faint of heart, although my chickens and Chester the dog have been quite happy about my failures. But, just like The Little Engine that Could, I made it over the mountain this weekend. This pretty boy (pictured above [or maybe below, who knows]) is an Artisan Sourdough Ezekiel loaf. The next step is to make sure it is repeatable, then I will be adding it along with an Ancient Grain version to my menu for you to order.

This morning, I stocked fresh, organic bread at Johnson's Department Store and Southern Sweets Bakery in Etowah and White Street Market in Athens. Here's what's out there:

Freshly milled Ezekiel 4:9 Sandwich Loaves

Yeast Cinnamon-Raisin

I am happy to share that the price of the flour I stock has gone down, so I have been able to lower the price of some of my products. Yay! Every little bit helps!!

From start to finish. That's the story these pictures paint, and I do love being the "artist"!!

I hope you will stop in at Johnson's Department Store or Southern Sweets Bakery in Etowah or White Street Market in Athens for a loaf of white sourdough sandwich bread, freshly milled Ezekiel 4:9 sandwich bread, and yeast cinnamon-swirl or cinnamon-raisin. 17 white sourdough sandwich loaves
1 whole wheat sourdough sandwich loaf
1 jalapeno-cheddar sourdough sandwich loaf
8 artisan sourdough country loaves
15 sourdough English muffins
8 sourdough bagels
2 white yeast sandwich loaves
3 cinnamon-swirl yeast loaves
7 cinnamon-raisin yeast loaves
3 date-espresso yeast loaves
8 freshly milled whole grain Ezekiel 4:9 loaves

Stop in at Johnson's Department Store and/or Southern Sweets Bakery in Etowah or White Street Market in Athens and stock up!!

It's tough to say which of those days I enjoy the most! I guess I love each of them equally! I just love all things bread, and I'm so thankful for the health and energy to pursue this little enterprise (at my age wink-wink)! Here is what is fresh and on the shelves today:
