APPLE CIDER DONUTS ARE BACK! 🍩

School is back, fall flavors are appearing everywhere, and I simply cannot wait any longer—so I’m officially opening my first Apple Cider Donut preorder of the season!

These soft, baked cake donuts are made from scratch in small batches with real apple cider, warm fall spices and plenty of cinnamon sugar.

Our local orchards aren’t pressing cider quite yet, so this will be a special Early Fall Preview batch. As soon as the first local cider is ready, Kat’s Kitchen will be making the switch! 🍎

½ dozen — $14
Dozen — $26

Pickup will be Saturday, August 29.

Prepayment is required to reserve your order. Orders close Tuesday, August 25 at 8 p.m. or sooner if I reach capacity.

I dropped them off this morning, and hearing that they were already a hit absolutely made my day. 🥹❤️

You guys…we are already at 11 orders for our Donuts for Hope fundraiser! Every order, share, comment, and kind word has meant more to our family than I can properly express.

Our big goal is to reach 30 orders before ordering closes Tuesday at 4:00 PM, which means we have 19 orders left to go!

Rain, rain… go away…at least on Saturdays!!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans today, so Kat’s Kitchen will not be at the Defiance Farmers Market this morning. 💙

I was so looking forward to seeing everyone, but wet soggy things are a baker’s worst nightmare.
Thank you all for your continued support. It truly means the world to our little family.

🍩 Donuts for Hope 💚

For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to write this post…

Many of you know that life has looked a little different for our family this year. Like so many others, we’ve been navigating a season that’s been financially challenging while trying to keep moving forward one day at a time.

At the same time, mental health has touched the lives of so many people we love, which is why I wanted this fundraiser to be about something bigger than just selling donuts.

So today, I’m excited (and honestly a little nervous!) to introduce Donuts for Hope, in partnership with Jillene Renee.

On Saturday, August 8, Kat’s Kitchen will be baking fresh, from-scratch donuts to help support both our family and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). A portion of every order will be donated to NAMI, with the remaining proceeds helping our family continue through this season.

🍩 This year’s fundraiser flavors:
• Cinnamon Sugar
• Blueberry Crumb
• Lemon-Thyme
• Chocolate Decadent
• Maple Bacon
• S’mores

✨ Half Dozen: $16
✨ Dozen: $30

Well…it’s probably time I dusted the flour off this page. 😂

If you’ve wondered where I’ve been, the short answer is…LIFE.

The long answer is family, work, responsibilities, and trying to keep all the plates spinning. Somewhere in the middle of all that, social media landed at the bottom of the list.

But the baking never stopped.

One thing I’ve realized over the last few weeks is that I don’t run Kat’s Kitchen because I’m trying to be the next viral bakery.

I do it because I love making food that feels like home.

Real butter.

Real vanilla.

100% Scratch-made recipes.

The kind of treats that remind you of your grandma’s kitchen, your favorite birthday, or the dessert someone made just because they loved you.

This page probably won’t ever be perfectly curated. I don’t have a ring light, and half the time I forget to take pictures because I’m too busy baking.

But I do have stories to tell, recipes to test, new ideas to share, and plenty of flour on my shirt.

I’m really glad you’re here. Let’s bake something wonderful together. 💜
