We are now only 4️⃣5️⃣ days away from our 3rd Annual Holiday Hustle, and the 44th Deckerville League of Women Craft Bazaar…

Here are the list of participants… SO FAR!

If you are unfamiliar with the Holiday Hustle, let’s get you up to speed: Each one of these participants puts together a gift basket, plus donates to one Grand Prize. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY… you will stop into these participating businesses and fill out your raffle ticket and get your card punched. At the end of the day, we collect all the raffle tickets and do a LIVE drawing for all the door prizes. For those that make it ALL participating businesses, they get entered into the drawing for the GRAND PRIZE.

I have always found comfort in doing funeral work, it was my favorite time to help mom out at the shop. Funeral flowers aren’t for those whom have passed rather for those who are living. I try to remind families of this when they come in; pick things or colors your loved one would have enjoyed, tell us about them and what they loved. All while being mindful of what the family feels they themselves would like to see.

Our little family went through something traumatic in April, I lost my groove for working on the pieces for a little bit afterwards. It Still takes me a bit longer to do the pieces than it used too but I am slowly getting there. There has been a lot of funeral work in the past couple of months, these are just two of my favorites 🤍

Do you ever get lilies in your floral arrangements from us? If so, there is likely one blossom open and others still closed. As they are kept at room temperature, most often the buds will open for you!
This is a little tip to get them to last even longer!
