My name is Christie Schroth and I am the owner of Simply Sweet Cakery. My passion for cake decorating began in 2011 after taking the line of Wilton cake decorating courses with the intentions of being able to make my kids' birthday cakes. ge and call it "Cakes By Christie". After years of experience and seeing how busy I was out of my home, I realized how much of a demand there was for a cakery in the area. That's when I decided to take the leap and go storefront! After 4 1/2 years, I then decided to slow back down and go back home to focus more on my family and have a more flexible schedule for my kids. Maybe in a few more years I will be able to build a commercial kitchen at my home, but for now I am working at a bit slower pace in my home kitchen. I specialize in custom cakes for any event (weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc.) I also offer a variety of other desserts. To ask any questions or to place an order, please message the page or give me a call. As of right now, I do not have a website. I highly recommend placing a custom order at least 2 weeks in advance. During my peak wedding months (June- October) and around the holidays, I recommend booking your order at least 4 weeks in advance. I bake and decorate all of my creations fresh for each order so I can only take a minimum amount of orders per week.

Our Story

Hello! My name is Christie Schroth and I am the owner of Simply Sweet Cakery. My hobby then grew into eventually doing cakes for family and friends, then the word just spread from there! After a few years, I decided to start my page and call it "Cakes By Christie". After years of experience and seeing how busy I was out of my home, I realized how much of a demand there was for a cakery in the area. That's when I decided to take the leap and go storefront! We opened my shop on April 29, 2016. In the lobby you can find cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, cookies, and a variety of other sweets that are ready to purchase. We also have seating and a party room available to rent for special occasions. We specialize in custom cakes for any event (weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc.) We do custom decorated sugar cookies and cookie cakes also! We will hopefully have a website sometime soon, but in the meantime if you need pricing info, please call or stop in to the cakery! We strongly recommend calling or stopping in at least 2-3 weeks in advance to place a custom order. During our peak wedding months (June- October) we recommend booking your order at least 4 weeks in advance. We bake and decorate all of our creations fresh for each order so we can only take a minimum amount of orders per day. We do not accept orders on facebook and require a 50% deposit on all orders before they are put on our calendar.
