Calling all poppyseed lovers! 🖤✨

This cake was created for a customer who wanted the poppyseed to be the star—and it certainly was! Packed with poppyseeds in every bite, lightly brightened with fresh lemon zest, and layered with just a touch of lemon curd, it was finished with poppyseed buttercream rosettes and a custom edible image for a very special milestone.

September is shaping up to be a wonderfully busy month for Pastries By Exposure! Although we have smaller orders and events throughout the month, this calendar highlights our larger celebrations and the main public events where you can find us:

We’ll also be creating desserts for several private weddings and events throughout the month. Dates marked “Private Wedding/Event” are client celebrations and are not open to the public.

🎓🎂 A very special cake for two very special young women! 🎂🎓

Today’s cake was extra meaningful for me. Not only am I celebrating a graduation, but also the 18th birthday of Lucy and Lori!

I’ve known their family for over 16 years through Mr. Le (who keeps my nails looking fabulous 😊). Over the years, our families have shared birthdays, celebrations, milestones, and so many memories. It honestly feels like just yesterday I was seeing Lucy and Lori in their matching outfits and helping them with schoolwork. Now they’re turning 18 and graduating!

Being asked to create their cake for such an important milestone is an honor that means more than I can put into words. Watching these sweet girls grow into amazing young women has been such a privilege, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve accomplished.

Happy 18th Birthday and Congratulations, Lucy and Lori! Wishing you both endless success, happiness, and exciting adventures as you begin this next chapter. 💛🖤🎓

Our little meatball turned ONE! 🍝❤️

These chocolate cake pops were designed to look like mini spaghetti and meatballs, complete with “marinara” and a sprinkle of “Parmesan.” Such a fun and delicious treat for a first birthday celebration!
