Monday kicks off our first camp!! Below is a little info for next Week.
Summer Horse Camp
June 1-4
9:00-12:00
Hi Campers! I’m so excited to see some old faces and some new faces this year! Please let me know if you have any questions about camp! Here is a list of things your child will need to bring and know for camp.
Monday June 1st Bring a plain white T-Shirt for Tye-Die!!! I will send them home Monday with their shirt in a baggie and please have them wear their shirt to camp on Thursday!!
Tuesday June 2nd the ICE CREAM TRUCK will come!! I believe the most expensive item on the truck is no more than $7 but most items are under $5. Please make sure to put their money in a zip lock bag with their name on it and we will put their change bag in their baggie
Wednesday June 3rd we will be selling snow cones! Each snow is $5 and the kids can purchase their snow cone at drop off that morning. Please send their money is zip lock bag with their name on it or you can venmo it lilcowboysandangels
Thursday June 4th is Fun Day! We will have a family swim and ice cream party at the pool at 11:00 If you would like to join us! Don’t forget to send your child in their T-Shirt they that made on Monday!!
1) Safety is our main concern! Please talk to your children before camp about animal safety and listening to our staff. We are here to teach your children and make this a fun experience! Our number 1 rule is NO running around the horses!! We will repeat this many times during camp. We will also be breaking up into groups and child MUST stay with their group during the camp!
2) Dress for a mess! We will be painting, getting wet, bathing horses, grooming animals, and getting dirty. PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILDREN IN CLOSED TOED SHOES! You can send a change of shoes for the pool.
3) I recommend coming to camp with their bathing suit under their clothes. This allows easier transition from riding to swimming. If your child does not find this comfortable it is no big deal. They are more than welcome to go into the house and change. Please make sure to send each child with a towel and any life jacket, water wings, floats, ect. With their name on it. Please send them with their own GOOGLES!!
4) Swimming! We will be swimming toward the end of camp each day! If you are not comfortable with this, please meet us at the pool each camp day by 11:00. We have some parents that like to be there to watch their children while they swim and we are totally OK with that! We will ask you the first day of camp about their swimming level when you drop them off. There is no official life guard on duty, but all of employees will be pool side watching.
5) Snacks and Drinks! Your child will need to bring a peanut free snack. We will provide cups of water for the kids, but you are more than welcome to send them with their own drinks as well. Make sure to write their name on their drinks and snacks. We will be providing them with Popsicles.
6) Sunscreen and bug spray! Please send the children already sun screened and sprayed!! Make sure to send extra with your child with their name on it and we will make sure to reapply as needed!
7) Please do not drop off any earlier than 8:50! Please be back for pick up at 12:00 and you can pick your child up at the pool (follow the walkway or take the steps down to pool behind the house).
