If love could have kept Truman here, he would have lived forever. ❤️
I love Truman with every piece of my heart and soul. Truman was my sweet, handsome boy, my companion, my constant, and such a huge part of my life.
I rescued Truman from a neglectful situation three months before his 8th birthday. We were together for 5 years and 3½ months. I will forever be grateful for those years, but it wasn’t enough. We deserved more time together. He truly rescued me after losing Jaxson.
He was so very handsome, sweet, gentle, loving, loyal and absolutely adored everyone he met. He loved his tennis balls, his stuffed babies, his giant carrot, his treats and he was a big foodie. He brought so much joy, laughter and unconditional love into my life.
I was so incredibly proud when Truman was chosen as the cover dog for the Humane Society of Broward County’s 2027 Walk for the Animals. We had his photo shoot on August 18, and it was such a wonderful day. He looked so handsome, was so happy and I was so proud of him. I had no idea that just six days later I would have to say goodbye to him.
His beautiful face will forever be part of the HSBC Walk for the Animals and I will forever treasure that honor and the beautiful photos I have of him from his photo shoot. And although I won’t have Truman beside me on Walk day, I will walk for him and in his memory.
The emptiness and silence without him is overwhelming. I miss him in every room, every quiet moment, every part of my day. I’m so heartbroken and devastated.
Grief is the price we pay for love. And as painful as this loss is, I would choose Truman and every moment I had with him a million times over.
I find comfort knowing he crossed the rainbow bridge and is with Jaxson. I have two fur angels watching over me now.
