I typically don’t get political here on my business page, but when Adam Peters runs for the Iowa House he has my full support. I have seen him lead in our community through the years. He is the most compassionate, kind, and intelligent human beings you’ll ever meet. And yet he stays humble and is willing to fight for us. Vote like you give A dam June 2nd!!!

Dearest Illuminate community,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have had to move my private session room into our yoga space. Private sessions will continue as usual, and classes will still be offered, but I will need to reduce class sizes to ensure everyone has a comfortable and supportive experience. Additionally, it would be greatly appreciated if you registered for classes online.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this transition. I am grateful for your continued support.

The good news is that I'll be offering an additional Yin Yoga class at the Figge beginning at the end of June, creating even more opportunities for us to practice together.

I look forward to continuing my offerings for you and our wonderful community.

One of my favorite movies is Inside Out 2. It reminds me that every emotion serves a purpose. We don't need to "fix" our feelings or push them away. It might be worth the time to sit with our emotions and listen to them.

I offer a safe space to slow down at lluminate Healing Studio. When you slow down and take in the energy work as well as connect with your inner healer you can meet these emotions with compassion.Honoring the expansive human spirit, emotional experience, and the mind|body|spirit connection.

Join us to cultivate mindfulness through art, qigong, meditation, and sound healing in the Figge galleries. Practitioners will be guided to explore ways to meditate by being open, relaxed, and receptive. This event will be guided by Becky Nakashima Brooke who is a yoga teacher, qigong teacher, and sound healer. All are welcome. No experience necessary.
