Another Busy Week Ahead at Danish Bakery!

We've got a lot going on this week, and we'd love to see you!

🎤 Tonight: Find us at the Cairo Market from 5:00–7:00 PM with a selection of fresh baked goods, pastries, breads, and treats.

🥐 Dannebrog Bakery
We're open all week with fresh baked goods, lunch, coffee, and all your bakery favorites. Plus🍕 Thursday Night Pizza, skip the cooking and join us for pizza night! Fresh-made pizzas, including our sourdough crust option, available Thursday evening.

☕ Toasted Grand Island
We'll be fully stocked all week with breads, pastries, desserts, and all the goodies you've come to love. Plus, don't forget about our Pastry Bar!

🌽 Saturday Farmers Markets
We'll be at both the Hastings Highland Park Farmers' Market and the Kearney Area Farmers this Saturday. We absolutely love market season and getting to spend our Saturdays with so many familiar faces. Expect all your favorite bakery staples—and maybe a few surprises, too!

It’s a dreary day out, but it’s definitely toasty here at Toasted by the Danish Bakery.

Step inside and feel the warmth of our ovens. Our shelves are stacked — artisan loaves fresh out of the oven, flaky croissant sandwiches melting with ham and cheese, heart-topped cinnamon rolls drowning in cream cheese frosting, savory stuffed rolls, pastries, muffins, and more.

It’s Monday, which means we’re starting fresh for the week! ☀️

Wow, Nebraska, you know how to show up!!!


Seeing the kindness of our community was unbelievable.

Yesterday, because of all of YOU, we were able to raise a combined total of $8,778.57 for Graci and her family through cash donations and 25% of our sales.

Yesterday we watched people walk through our doors with tears in their eyes, handing her cash donations, leaving extra tips, buying pizzas and cinnamon rolls just to help in some small way. We watched neighbors show up for neighbors. We watched complete strangers choose kindness.

We also watched something incredibly special happen behind the scenes. Our employees banded together and worked tirelessly to keep shelves stocked, make dough, bake cinnamon rolls, prepare pizzas, and serve every customer with love and care through the exhaustion and emotion of it all. It was one of those days that reminded us that this bakery is more than a business — it is FAMILY.

As a small-town bakery, we often say our customers feel like family — but yesterday truly proved it.

There are no perfect words to describe what it felt like to witness Nebraska come together like this. In the middle of tragedy, you gave hope. You reminded Graci, her family, and all of us that even after the storm, people will show up to help carry you through.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving one of our own so fiercely. ❤️

WOW. You guys have absolutely blown us away. ❤️

The amount of support for Graci and everyone affected by the tornado has honestly moved us more than we can say. Watching this community show up for one another during such a hard time has been incredible, and we are so thankful to be part of it.

Reminder that tomorrow we will be donationg 25% of sales to her and her family. Keeping that in mind, we are preparing for 🍕 night in Dannebrog and want to give a small reminder—
We are a small business, and everything we make is completely from scratch and done on a small-scale basis. Because of that, we do have a limit to how many pizzas we can make in a night.

If you’re planning on ordering tomorrow, we would SO appreciate a heads up by calling your order in ahead of time so we can properly prepare supplies and do our best to serve everyone well.
