My name is Patricia Dickerson. First and foremost, I am a Christian. No, I am not perfect,
but having God with me every step I take makes life easier and more enjoyable. I have been decorating cakes for about 30 years now. I started out just doing the character sheet cakes for my 4 kid

s, friends, family and now my grandkids. The enjoyment I get out of creating something beautiful for others is wonderful. I am not a professional,
and my work is not perfect, but they taste great. I have tried the fondant but was not impressed. I prefer a great taste over perfectly smooth. I use Buttercream Icing most of the time, depending on the flavor of cake and client's preference. Over the years I have ventured out with my decorating. Wedding cakes are the most nerve-racking, this is the day everyone expects perfection. However, I have successfully done four weddings now. I have traveled as far as Richmond, VA to do a wedding cake/cupcakes and a baby shower. I don’t have a problem with traveling to set-up a cake (yes, it costs more) I enjoy making people happy. With God’s guidance and protection, I am willing to go wherever He leads me. Every cake has lots of prayers and love that goes with it.

Nov. 1st UPDATE: I got my cast off this past Thursday. Now I will be going through 6 weeks of therapy to get my wrist and hand to working again. 😳 It looks like no more cake decorating for me until at least mid December. I know that God has a purpose in all this. I am trusting Him to help me through these next 6 weeks 🙏.

🤦‍♀️ Well, as some of you already know. I broke my right wrist while skating on Monday night. Yes. I am right handed. I will find out next Wednesday if I need surgery. Praying for a quick recovery and no surgery. I won't be baking or decorating cakes for a little while.

I want to give a shout out to Ansted Skating Rink ❤️. They are wonderful and were super helpful when I feel and all the people that were there skating. Thanks for all the prayers.Sorry for interrupting your skating.

I plan to be back to baking and decorating by mid November. 🙏
My plan is not always God's plan. We shall see.
