It’s such an honor to be considered for big days, time and again. I got to make cookies for this mama when she opened her boutique. I was heartbroken that I couldn’t squeeze her in for her baby shower. But the best is when I’m still top of mind a year later for her baby boy’s first birthday. That feeling of gratitude never gets old. I hope your Happy Dude had a happy day!!!

Tomorrow is the first day of school for us. My hope for the year is that our teachers have a better year than the last few. It’s been a really rough few years for them. Perpetually undervalued and under appreciated, but since the pamalamadingdong it’s worse.
Teachers are my people. They have my heart. I was a teacher. My sister is a teacher. My dad taught for decades. My grandma, the same. My grandpa was a principal. My favorite people are teachers or people who have worked in education at some point. Please show them an abundance of love this year. They need it. We need them to feel it. Deeply.

Sometimes you get creative freedom. Sometimes you get very specific requests with sample pics and quantities per design. Both are ok! I definitely prefer creative freedom and think it garners better results but it’s the client’s vision and money so I try to give them what they want (within reason). I try to remind myself that it’s a business. All sample pics were fondant except for the bubble jumper from sweet Luna . My came in clutch for this set.
