Let’s talk about herbs, spices, flowers, and plants.

Things I use in my baked goods, my teas, and the skin care line.

I specifically look for organic herbs and spices that are also non-irradiated!!!

Food irradiation is used to reduce bacteria, insects, and other microbes and to extend shelf life. But depending on the dose and the food, irradiation can also cause losses in some naturally occurring nutrients and compounds, particularly more sensitive vitamins such as vitamin C and some B vitamins, as well as certain antioxidant compounds.

That’s why, when possible, I choose organic, non-irradiated herbs and spices from companies that are transparent about how they are grown and processed. For me, it’s about choosing ingredients that are as close to their natural state as possible and prioritizing freshness, quality, and transparent.

Look what’s new!!!

🍂An organic, classic chai featuring delightful flavors of various spices and Darjeeling tea. Contains caffeine.

Sweeten with cream and sugar, or enjoy plain for a strong and spicy flavor.

To brew, add 1 tablespoon of tea to a cloth tea bag or strainer and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the loose-leaf tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes or until your desired strength. For a more traditional style chai, try simmering the blend directly in milk.

Ingredients: Organic cassia cinnamon chips, organic ginger root, organic Darjeeling tea, organic cardamom hulled, organic cardamom pods, organic cloves, and organic nutmeg powder.

Peppermint:
Bright, refreshing flavor

Marshmallow Root:

Mullein:

Mild, earthy flavor that blends well with mint
Traditionally associated with soothing the throat and supporting the airways

Nettle:
Nutrient-rich herb containing naturally occurring vitamins and minerals
Traditionally used as a nourishing, seasonal wellness herb
Adds a deep, green herbal flavor

Brewing: Add 1-2 tablespoons of loose herbs to a tea infuser or cloth bag.
Pour 8 ounces of freshly boiled water over the herbs.
Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, or longer for a stronger cup.
Strain and enjoy.

I had to mix a throat, allergy, and cough tea blend for some friends and customers.

Not sure what I’ll name the blend
It’s peppermint, Mullein, nettle, and marshmallow root

All organic as always.

I just mixed it so not on the menu yet.

I wish I could sell you guys elderberry but I can’t under cottage laws. I have shared the recipe on my page in the past.
