Is a bread slicer worth it? I was gifted this one from my MIL a few years ago and I've never looked back. I love the adjustable width, the ease of slicing, and consistent flat slices. But I'm curious! What do you think?

The loaf I saved for me šŸ¤Ž

I don’t always keep one, but when I do, it’s my favorite.

I love making bread.

This was made in bulk. It was shaped along with all the others. It is just flour, water, starter and salt. Simple.

Thanks for being here. Have a happy Monday!

Woohoo! Such a fun morning spent with such sweet customers. We sold out of everything in just 35 minutes! That’s gotta be a new record. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this small business. I love getting to bake for you.

šŸ‘ Thank you to Matt and Julie with Dwell Coffee Co. for bringing your delicious coffee! You’re truly a joy to work with.

See you all next time!

🫣 Maybe not always…

When sourdough bread sits in the fridge too long, it nearly eats itself from the inside out! The flour and gluten is entirely broken down and it becomes a shaggy, doughy mess. The fermentation continues, even when you’re not looking.

I agree you should try to bake the bread, but only without 2-3 days of mixing it. Otherwise, not so much.

I may have never run a business before, but I’m learning lessons left and right! Here’s what I’ve got!

Work is hard. Days are long. But it can also be fun! I love turning on a good audiobook and zoning out while folding dough. Turn the mundane into something you look forward to.

Remember you can ask friends and family and other business owners for help! Don’t know what to do? Ask! Unsure how to handle something? Ask! Especially before you’re at your wits end 🫣

Hard days are full of lessons for tomorrow. Learn and move on. Don’t dwell on the past.

I like a simple setup. Simple books and simple expenses/revenue. I can make it more complex, but I don’t want to do that at this time.

Some weeks I need to just chill on the back burner and coast through the week. Sometimes I’m willing to get out of my comfort zone and try new things! Know thyself šŸ˜‰

Life and business are meant to be done in community and together. You aren’t alone and you can’t do it alone. Hire someone. Reach out to someone. Grab lunch with someone. Don’t do it alone.

Social media definitely has pros and cons. I like to use it for good and spreading info about my business. It helps others to know what I do and earns respect with consistency and transparency.

Assume the best in customers, and everyone else for that matter! In doing say, they will likely assume the best in you.

Check each picture’s caption for a bit more info on each lesson. Thanks for being here!
