Our Story
It all began with our nieces and nephews. For years, we would make super-fun cakes for their birthday parties. Over time, guests at their parties began asking us to make cakes for their own children. And from that, The Cakes of Casa Latasa was born. We never went out in search of a business... we just have a passion for creating great cakes. But somehow, this crazy cake journey found us, and we are so thankful.
We are Mario and Dana Latasa, and every cake is scratch-made in our Dallas, GA home. It’s just the two of us, and we take extreme pride in what we do. Because we are a residential kitchen, we are limited in the number of cakes we can create each week. This allows us to give each cake our undivided attention, and we think that is evident in the finished product.
Clients say our cakes taste “home-made.” They taste homemade, because they are homemade. Only the highest quality butter, sugar, eggs and flour are used in our recipes. Our buttercream icing is just that: butter, sugar, cream, and little vanilla!
When simple, old-fashioned recipes are made with the finest ingredients (and a heaping helping of love!), something magical happens. We would be absolutely honored to create something special for you.
