Tonight's experiment was rolled buttercream sugar cookies. I wanted to have another option for my sugar cookies besides royal icing. These were painted with food coloring but I look forward to trying different techniques. The buttercream has a soft bite but is firm enough to decorate. It's also kid approved!

The lemon blueberry cupcakes have a blueberry filling and lemon buttercream. The garnish is a candied lemon wedge, which I had never attempted before.
