I have written this post 100 times and then deleted it because it is so hard for me to do. It’s a long one so just stick with me, it has a point.
I just celebrated my 10 year anniversary of having this small cake business up and running this past Friday. 10 years you guys, that is a long time, it’s hard for me to believe You guys have helped me take a small hobby and turn it into an extra income. A lot of you have truly been there to support me at every turn since the very beginning. This little side gig cake business helped carry my family and I when I was out of work with my new born son and has continued to support my family even when I returned to work full time and for that I will forever be grateful for every single one of you who have supported me over the years. You have helped pay for everything from little league uniforms to field trips for my kids. I love you all so much that’s why it hurts my heart to post this but I’ve done a lot of thinking and it is what is best for right now.
At this time I have chosen to take a step back from the cake making to spend more weekends with my family before my kids are all grown up and also to be able to be a 100% dedicated teacher to my students at school.
Don’t panic! ... if you already have a wedding or event order on my calendar I will still be there to honor that order. I am just not taking any further orders for this year at this time. Both of my kids are playing sports now and I want to be able to be there for them 100%. Since I am a one woman show a lot of times I spend my whole weekend making cakes and as much as I love it, as a mother, I need and want to spend more lazy Saturday’s with my kids and my husband.
Please know how grateful I am for your never ending support ❤️
