As designers, we have the opportunity to create environments that foster belonging, dignity, and authentic self-expression. Inclusive design isn’t just about meeting needs—it’s about understanding people and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

This month, we’re highlighting the role of inclusive design in supporting LGBTQ+ clients, staff, and communities.

🎶 “We are family…” 🎶

One of the best parts of this industry is the people in it.

The referrals, advice, encouragement, inspiration, resources, problem-solving, friendships… so much of it comes from the community around us. Sometimes you need guidance, sometimes you’re the one giving it — and that’s what makes a strong design community so special.

At ASID’s San Antonio Design Community, it’s more than just networking events. It’s designers, industry partners, creatives, business owners, and small firms coming together to support one another, learn from each other, and grow together.

A reminder that nominations are OPEN for the 37th Annual ARTS Awards!

The ARTS Awards program seeks to celebrate and define the excellence and achievement home & design industry leaders and professionals.
Nominations are received online from March 23 - June 25.
Anyone can nominate manufacturers, retailers, designers, and sales representatives to compete for the highest honor in the home industry-the ARTS Award. This is a peer nomination program, and nominators/nominees are not required to be an ART member nor exhibit at the Dallas Market Center.
Who can be nominated?
- Interior Designers who redefine spaces
- Manufacturers creating exceptional products
- Retailers leading the way in style & service
- Sales Representatives driving industry connection
- Product Designers who shape innovation
Each category has its own ballot. Anyone may nominate in all categories, even multiple times.
