I have honestly NEVER been a fan of matcha, but to be honest, when I worked at Starbucks many moons ago it was the only matcha I had tried…and it tasted like freshly cut grass! A few years ago my brother told me to get ceremonial grade matcha because it tasted better, and being stubborn I still hadn’t tried it….until this week!
I made matcha cinnamon rolls and these white chocolate matcha cookies, and the smell alone is enticing! These are absolutely delicious and it’s just another reminder that you get what you pay for. This matcha was $10 per oz and was worth every penny. Don’t skimp on your ingredients! It makes a huge difference!

From my experience, sheet cakes are a guaranteed way to make cakes in an efficient, cost effective way! Sheet pan cakes cool faster, and are easier to decorate than a traditional round cake, saving you time, and the ability to produce more in a shorter span of time. I made this cake, 3 layers of my vanilla bean with Swiss Meringue buttercream. Everything was made from scratch, and the whole process from start to finish took me 3.5 hours! My round cakes take much longer in the chilling process alone! Sheet cakes, for me at least, are definitely here to stay!

My strawberry rhubarb cinnamon rolls
šŸ˜ I searched for rhubarb for WEEKS and finally found it on Monday šŸ™ŒšŸ¾ My oh my, did Jesus show me quite a bit about persistence when it came to finding rhubarb in Texas 😫 A farmer told me a couple of weeks ago it doesn’t grow well here because of the heat and that I won’t find it…but he was wrong!
Right before I gave in to by frozen rhubarb from Sprouts, I kept feeling this tug to go check Central Market one last time

This is my 2nd week of unemployment and this idea has been in my head for all of two weeks lol. I’ve learned it’s not a new concept, but it came out AMAZINGLY for me. My BROWN BUTTER ALMOND CROISSANT CINNAMON ROLLS. They’re light, not too sweet, pillowy, and nutty…may have to add this to my list of favorites

Started this in 2018! Things eventually start to come together if you continue working at it!
Keep going and PRACTICE! There will be plenty of days with fallen cakes, days when cakes are not smoothed to perfection, and nights when cakes are overly chilled and began to crack, but God wastes nothing! Continue working at it and the progress will show over time

Pricing can always be a bit daunting, but I’ve learned it doesn’t help you nor the baking industry as a whole to not charge what you’re worth. For a dozen of my Brown Butter Vanilla Bean Cinnamon Rolls, I charge $60 and this 8 inch Lemon Cake was $150. I do believe the prices of my custom cakes need to increase, due to time and resources utilized. What do you think?

This double heart cake was specifically for my little sister, so I’ll never charge her, but I find myself at times forgetting that I’m trying to scale a business and I bake for the pure enjoyment. The things I do bake for therapeutic reasons, I ALWAYS give away for free. I’m learning that there’s nothing that brings me more enjoyment than truly baking and getting someone’s reaction of satisfaction. Truly from my heart, to yours
