Just can’t wait for the exciting holiday pop-up at Crooked Letter this Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM!
We are offering a couple exclusive new items, and some favorites as well.

1. Introducing the beautiful Challah bread. This bread makes a beautiful centerpiece and it’s deliciously rich and tender. If you have any leftovers, french toast is divine!

2. Exclusively for this event, we will have half and half dinner rolls. Each pan comes with 6 white bread rolls, and 6 wheat bread rolls. Now you can satisfy everyone at the table!

3. Our newest item— garlic sourdough 🧄 this loaf is so fragrant and savory, it’s one of my newest favorites. Each loaf is infused with roasted garlic cloves and olive oil.

4. And we can’t forget all the favorites— Pizza dough, cinnamon swirl bread, and traditional sourdough.

Another great season of Earth’s Bounty! 🙌🏼
A friend of mine is starting a Home Bakery in a state nearby, and when she asked for advice on how to get started I first recommended getting plugged in into a local farmers market.
I would not be where I am today without the Earth's Bounty team and the people in this photo.

This Saturday—November 5th is the last Earth's Bounty of the season! 🪴🌾

November means Thanksgiving 🦃🍂 So we’re bringing out the dinner rolls! They freeze beautifully, just the thing to add an extra homemade touch to your Thanksgiving feast.😍 We’ll have all the regular favorites as well— sandwich bread, sourdough, cinnamon swirl bread and pizza dough. 🍞🍕

The Dough Darlings have some big milestones coming up— Our 5 year old starts Kindergarten next week and has a birthday during Labor Day in September. These moments are too important to miss, so we will not be attending Earth’s Bounty Farmers Market for the months of August and September.

Sourdough is so amazing! I made this loaf and tossed it in the fridge to ferment as usual, but two weeks went by and I completely forgot about it 🤦🏻‍♀️. So I tried an experiment and baked it anyway. It came out as probably one of my prettiest loaves and it’s so deliciously sour! 🙌🏼 I used it for my favorite overnight french toast recipe… WIN 🏆🌟

I’m so grateful for all the hard work of those who have come before me to build and grow our Farmers Market, and the amazing craftspeople and vendors who have paved the way. I’m grateful to be part of a community who loves what they do and pour their heart into making Meridian and Lauderdale County a great place to live.

It’s been a little while since I’ve made an introduction! Hi 👋🏼 I’m Amanda Holland the baker behind Dough Darling. The handsome fella next to me is my husband James. 😍
He’s the accountant, supporter and a main taste-tester of this hobby-business.
We have two boys ages 5 & 2 👦🏼💙👶🏼 our other taste-testers!

I make breads and other tasty treats including- White and Whole Wheat Sandwich bread 🍞 Sourdough 🥖 Dinner Rolls 🍽 Burger Buns 🍔 and fun pastries like muffins, scones and occasionally pretzels 🥨 and danishes 🥐

-Tour America’s last in-tact steam engine factory with the belt-driven machine shop fully operating
-See dozens of working steam engines of all sizes - some part of the permanent collection and others visiting specifically for the Festival ––– in the Steam Engine Room and throughout the festival grounds.
-See the Workers Locker Room, the Shop Foreman’s Office, the Soulé Mill Supply Store and Company Office
-In the 1917 Foundry find the Paxson Cupola Furnace sitting ready to melt pig-iron for casting and many other displays
-Visit the Pattern Shop upstairs in the Foundry (only open during the Festival)
-Check out the molten metal pouring
