Opening day calls for something sweet! I got to sponsor a table for HCHS teachers today, and it filled my heart to send them off with a little treat as they kick off another year of shaping young minds. If you've seen the show, you know — Ted always shows up to his boss's office with a homemade batch of shortbread biscuits, no matter how her day (or his) is going. It's become one of the sweetest little symbols of the whole series: kindness, showing up, and biscuits.

I'm making my own version... buttery, simple, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread, made the same way Ted would: with a little vanilla and almond flavor and a lot of heart. 🩷
