Hey Everyone!
We're Growing!

We are looking for one or two active, positive people to join our team!

We are looking to hire staff to work our customer service positions.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

Wednesday through Friday
Open 7AM-1PM or
Close 1PM-CLOSE (6:30ish)
Ability to cover a weekend shift a plus!

Duties include

Open- engaging with customers and ringing them up while displaying knowledge about the product, sandwich assembly, dish washing and light cleaning, restocking shelves, understanding of baking schedule, answering phone and taking orders. This is a fast paced, team orientated position.

Closing- engaging with customers and ringing them up, light sandwich assembly, dishwashing, assisting in taking orders and answering phone calls, light prep work, cleaning and following a checklist to ensure proper procedures are followed in closing the shop.

We have so much incredible produce right now and just can't stop finding things to do with it all! This Saturday and Sunday we are going to have focaccia loaves featuring some of CFHS Fresh Farm🐯🌳🌾 finest ingredients! We will have heirloom tomato, zucchini, roasted garlic oil, sea salt, and fresh dill (this one is vegan!) as well as roasted leeks, black pepper and sharp cheddar. We will do our best to keep them on the shelves, but it might be a good idea to get here early and enjoy a breakfast sandwich. Two birds, one stone or whatever.

The day we have all been waiting for! Whole new sandwich menu. We are so psyched to roll out our new, limited time panini featuring BLACK CAP HOT SAUCE jalapeño ramp sauce. It's got roasted kale, caramelized onions, and havarti on toasted French. Craving a tomato? We gotcha! Our BLT and our caprese are also back on the menu. These feature not only local tomatoes from CFHS Fresh Farm🐯🌳🌾 but also microgreens. Wowee! Come get something off our summer menu while this year's fresh produce is around.

Friendly reminder, we are CLOSED on Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th to celebrate the holiday!

We will have some holiday specials on Friday for your celebration!

Pretzel bites and homemade cheese dip (we had these for the Superbowl and they went fast!)

Patriotic cookie boxes! With sugar cookies, mini chocolate chip and mini s'mores cookies.

We hope to see you this week before we close for a couple days!

Ten years ago we were taking pizza night off at Great Lakes Baking in Hudson to get married.

Who would have thought ten years later we would be over a year into owning our own bakery!

Treat Dad this Father's day with a Treat Box from Black Dog Baking Company!

Including a chocolate covered pretzel brownie, chocolate chip cookie, chocolate espresso shortbread sandwich with cinnamon cream cheese buttercream, and a classic decorated cookie for $12

We will have a limited amount hitting the shelves Saturday and Sunday so no holds- they will be first come first served!

We have some Dates to Remember coming up so mark your calendar!

Sunday June 28th we will be closing early to attend the Akron Honey Market Day!
If you haven't been it's one of our favorite days of the year! Akron Honey throws a block party style market with local vendors, makers, food, and beverages. Located at 1045 Jefferson Ave. Akron, Ohio. The market goes from 1-5pm.
We will be closing at NOON on Sunday June 28th and there will be NO lunch served that day.

We will be closed Saturday 7/4 and Sunday 7/5 so staff can enjoy the holiday! The rest of the week we will be open for our normal business hours.

Friday is Rye-day at Black Dog Baking Company!

Tomorrow, and every Friday, we will have our beautiful sourdough rye with dill and caraway hitting the shelves around 8am.

As always you can call and reserve a loaf before it's all gone.

New scone flavors as we push towards summer!

* Strawberry Mojito scones - fresh strawberries, fresh mint and lime zest topped with a strawberry and lime icing. Sweet, tangy and refreshing!

* Candied Jalapeno and Cheddar- fresh jalapenos sliced and candied with sharp white cheddar. Sweet, salty, and a little bit spicy!

* Blueberry Lemon- everyone's favorite! Did you know our blueberry lemon scones are vegan? Made with olive oil butter and oat milk, they are our most popular scone!

Hi everybody! Dave's allowed to use the company socials but only on special occasions. Today is a VERY special occasion - Eve's birthday! A lot has happened In our lives between her last birthday and today. We have spent almost the entirety of that time together in the bakery and I wouldn't want it any other way! I've seen how many birthday cookies she's made for people so let's all wish her the happiest birthday! After all.... We wouldn't exist without all her hard work and talent.
