Oh, hey! It’s me. I’m still here. Just stepping back a lotttt from social media to give myself the headspace I need to not get caught in the comparison and imposter syndrome trap.

This spring has been busy with a family vacation to Italy, graduating my son from high school, running a vacation rental, and sprinkling in a few photo sessions as well.

While I may not show up on the grid as often as I once did, the shift from forcing myself to create content to genuinely connecting with others has been refreshing.

Anyhoo. I’m alive and well and still capturing meaningful moments and connection. I’m just sharing on my terms rather than the algorithm’s.

Forever grateful and humbled that some gave all, so we can continue to experience freedom.

While grilled smash burgers and dinner outdoors are on tonight’s menu, I’m making time to be still and reflect with gratitude today on those who didn’t get to come home. Freedom is never free.

Senioritis is in full swing. I’m annoying the crap out of him encouraging him to finish strong and promising him that someday he’ll thank me.

I really am proud of him for his perseverance as he navigates his next steps.

May is here, and graduation is upon us.

What a joy it’s been to see these kids grow through the years. Whether their future plans are solidified or up in the air, I know they’ll be just fine because they’ve got some really great roots.

10/10 recommend hiring a photographer to take your photos when you plan an epic vacation. .rome.photographer was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I’m so grateful we have these moments documented from our time in Rome. We are one month away from Jacob graduating high school, and what a thrill it was to explore Italy as a family over spring break. The years truly do fly by, and I’ve never regretted investing in photographers who document the years so beautifully.

Heading into 2026 with no grandiose plans (completely different for me), but a whole lotta peace as I lean into the One Who holds tomorrow. Here’s some of my favorite lyrics from the 1950 hymn by Ira Stanphill.

I don’t know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don’t borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.
I don’t worry o’er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I’ll walk beside Him,
