Happy 9th birthday yuvan. Can’t believe this will be your last single digit birthday. This past year has been rough on us trying to adjust to a new country(for you and Arjun) and guess what Amma is so proud of you both. I learn a lot from you everyday and I hope we growup together to be good friends and not just mom/son.

Moved back to India.

After an incredible 18 years in USA moved back to India. It’s a new chapter filled with lot of learnings/ unlearnings/ excitement and anxiety.
Firstly I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your support to Cakes and frostings.Your trust meant the world to me.Your support always fueled my passion and always drove me to deliver best service possible. I made my first professional looking cake on Nov 21 2017 for my son’s second birthday and when I decided to monetize my passion towards cakes my husband and all of my friends supported the idea. Most of the orders came through referrals from friends and family and after 2019 there was never a look back. I learned a lot of things as a small business owner and my learnings will always live with me and I hope one day I will get back to where I stopped.

I lost my brother in 2011 and being the only child for my parents It was a conscious choice to live closer to them when they age, I want to be there for them when they need me.However I want to make sure kids are not impacted in terms of school and culture so the sooner the move the easier it can be for them.
It was not an easy choice to leave everything i built in terms of my professional and personal life however this choice was best based on my current circumstances.
I am confident that sooner or later I will do well with my job/business/new friends,however for now I will be focusing on smooth transition for my kids by helping them with their academics and other things. There are a lot on my plate to take care of and I have decided to not rush and take each day as an experience and learn something new.I will be taking a break from baking untill I figure out what’s on my list of things to settle down. I will still be keeping this page active and posting about our transition until I get back to cakes. I will miss all my clients. Trust is essential for growth and sustainability of any business and I am happy that I have had a lot of clients who trusted me and gave me opportunity to customize their cakes.Thank you 🙏
