So I don't really know how to say it, so I'll keep it on the shorter side if I can, which probably isn't likely.
After 12 yrs and much thought, I have decided to stop making cookies for sale. The last 2 years have brought a whole bunch of challenges, and while I was able to work thru and around most of them the cost of goods increasing this past year is something I'm just not comfortable passing forward onto all of you. I've made posts before with how the costs of since things have gone up vs. what they used to be, but I don't want to continue raising my prices any further and at this point I'm barely breaking even on most orders just trying to keep costs down since I truly enjoy making cookies. With my average order currently being about $47/doz I would need to charge roughly $60/doz to see an actual profit at this point thanks to inflation on pretty much every ingredient I use. From the bags I seal the cookies in, to the eggs and sugar everything has tripled if not quadrupled in price.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you who has ordered from me and supported my small business, which in turn supported my family. I'm so very honored that you all chose me to be a forever memory in your baby showers, weddings and birthdays among other celebrations.
So as of now, I will not be accepting any further custom orders. If you are currently on my books I got you covered! I'll probably be hosting popups over the summer because I don't think I can just not decorate cookies. So stay on the lookout for that!
