Let’s do some B2G1 math here, and I’ll use an inquiry I just got for 4 dozen cookies as an example.

On any given day outside of this 8/20-9/10 window, this order would cost $240. I charge $60/dozen.

So option 1: Buy one sale package $120 (3 dozen) and another regular priced dozen $60 =$180 (my sale isn’t discounted per dozen)….your savings would be $60, and it equates to $45/dozen. 👏🏻

Or option 2: Buy 2 sale packages now (6 dozen) =$240. Ask for delivery date of 4 dozen for this request and pick another date/theme prior to Dec 15 for your remaining 2 dozen. Or two dates with 2 themes. I don’t care, just as long as they’re scheduled for delivery prior to Dec 15, and I still have availability for that date. This equates to $40/dozen. (Btw this is cheaper than Panera’s s**tty decorated flip flops)…

Or…you can go big or go home, and buy 10 sale packages if you want and have 360 cookies to disperse in any direction for any event or holiday delivered by Dec 15, or glad them in your freezer and eat them slowly over the next year. I won’t judge. Hell, if you bought that many we can schedule your cookie deliveries throughout the next year. You’d be set for EVERYTHING.

Sit back whilst I BITCH FOR A MINUTE about cookie/cake online tutorials and classes!!!

I’m sure as I will come across to some as being shallow or uncaring or selfish. Let me start off by saying I’m most upset at myself. People go through a lot of s**t. But you ALSO NEED TO BE completely honest and transparent to your clients and customers about their purchase delays/issues with delivery etc…no??? Even if the worst thing that could happen to my business…if I croaked, I’d sure hope Brent would have the good sense to reach out to y’all quickly and let you know and to refund anything still outstanding. Isn’t that just the most fundamentally basic thing? Communication??

Over the past 5 years I’ve spent gobs and gobs on cool classes and tutorials from other cookiers and cakers. I almost never had time to take the classes immediately. BUT THE BIG SELL for me was always having access to them into the future. Perfect!! So when I have a fitting theme come up, that’s when I do them! You see my starred email folder here?? Aka my future classes to take folder?? NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM is still available!! (I did take the Sonja’s Cookie Jar class RIGHT AWAY so omit that one.)

Idk what happened to Timbo in his personal life, I’m just guessing that he’s not ok. He disappeared off of social media a year ago, and now when I click on his emails, all of the download/access links are GONE. Most don’t even have the classes listed that I purchased (and most of these confirmation emails had multiple classes in them). They’re just blank. Then other cookier class links are expired. His website is gone. Did you know links expire? I sure didn’t. That’s not even mentioning the ones that just go full ghost mode and don’t give access to classes in the first place.

I am DEFINITELY NOT SAYING my access to a cookie class is more important than health or real world problems, if that’s the case. But s**t…I financially supported these artists. I know how I feel when y’all support ME. How much I need it and appreciate it. It almost feels like I was grifted. And the expectation vs reality just sucks. Most of the classes led to Facebook groups. If you quit doing business, couldn’t those groups be left there?? The ones I’ve already joined are ALSO GONE.

Ultimately, it’s my problem. It’s my issue of neurodivergence because the access indeed was usually there when I purchased them. I just expected them to always be in my back pocket. And because I know how I roll like that, I’ll likely not purchase them from people anymore. Except for the Cookiers, because at least when switching platforms last year we had a heads up and were given a chance to download the classes we wanted to keep! That’s the key. Simply give a heads up to how long people will have access.

Until I forget that I had this whole damn conversation with myself and see some bright shiny squirrel run past. 😖
