And finally, my favorite bake of the day.

Fresh sourdough cinnamon rolls, still warm from the oven. Soft, tender layers wrapped around a rich ceylon cinnamon filling, then finished with a luscious glaze that melts into every swirl.

These are not your average cinnamon rolls. The long sourdough fermentation creates a depth of flavor that makes each bite something special. Sweet, buttery, cinnamon goodness with that subtle sourdough character that keeps you reaching for another piece.

Of everything I bake, these remain one of my absolute favorites. Fresh from the oven, the aroma alone is enough to make a house feel like home.

And because one bread post simply wasn’t enough today… 😊

These gorgeous Soft Sandwich Sourdough Loaves (aka “Wonderful Bread”) have also made their way out of the oven and onto the cooling rack.

Made with an enriched dough, these loaves are soft, pillowy, and perfect for everyday slicing. They weigh in at over 2 pounds each, making them a generous family-sized loaf for sandwiches, toast, grilled cheese, or whatever your favorite comfort food might be.

I love a rustic artisan loaf, but there is something extra special about a soft sandwich loaf. Tender, sliceable, and ready for everything from breakfast toast to late-night peanut butter sandwiches.

Today’s bake is beautiful one, and these loaves are the perfect touch.

Good afternoon 🌞

Today’s Bread Drop is starting to come out of the oven and looking absolutely beautiful.

There is something so satisfying about a shelf full of fresh sourdough, crackling as it cools, each loaf with its own personality. The blueberry lemon loaves were especially generous today, bursting with juicy blueberries and bright lemon. They baked up beautifully and smell every bit as good as they look.

Days like this remind me why I love what I do. Flour, water, salt, *time, and a whole lot of care turned into something nourishing to share with my community.

If you have a loaf waiting for you, pickup is this afternoon between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. I can’t wait for you to see these beauties in person.

Today is spa day at Quail Hollow!

I added a dust bath to the quail hutch this morning, and within minutes they were rolling, digging, flinging dust everywhere, and having the time of their lives. I stood there laughing and watching them because their joy was absolutely contagious.

Dust bathing is an important part of quail life. It helps keep their feathers clean, removes excess oils, and supports healthy skin and plumage. For quail, it is not a luxury. It is one of those natural behaviors they are wired to do.

Watching them discover it for the first time was one of those simple moments that filled my heart. There is something so satisfying about seeing animals express their natural instincts and knowing they feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

Four weeks ago they were tiny little fluff balls. Today they are growing into beautiful young quail, scratching, exploring, dust bathing, and turning their hutch into a happy little community.

Some days the smallest things bring the biggest smile. Today, it was a pan full of dust and a flock of very happy quail. ❤️

The quail are officially 4 weeks old and have moved into their big kid home!

After spending their first month growing at lightning speed, they are now fully feathered and settling into their full-time hutch complete with automatic waterers. They wasted no time exploring every corner and seem quite pleased with their new digs.

There are still a few finishing touches to add. A dust bath is high on the list because every quail deserves a good spa day. I would also love to add a few greens and hiding spots to make their little world even more interesting.

Watching these tiny fluff balls grow into young quail has been such a joy. It feels like just yesterday they could fit in the palm of my hand. Now they are busy, curious, and thriving. Not much longer and we will have eggs!

Sourdough pita practice bake today.

Working through my shoulder injury meant finding a softer dough to roll repetitively and keep my hands moving. I mixed up a batch of dough for pita bread and used it as gentle practice.

The bake came out with beautiful puffed pockets and a soft texture. Each one lifted just right.

Another practice batch tomorrow while I keep rebuilding strength and rhythm in the kitchen.

Orders open for other bakes if you need something fresh.

Happy Saturday, friends! ☀️

As summer settles in, I wanted to share my June baking schedule, current price list, and my seasonal muffin and scone flavors.

Since I’m no longer doing regular pop-ups, most of my baking is done by pre-order. If you’ve been craving fresh baked goodies for your family, workplace, church gathering, brunch, or simply to tuck away in the freezer, now is a great time to place an order.

I currently bake:

~ Full batches of 12 muffins(1 flavor)
~ Batch of 2 Dozen Cookies(1 flavor)
~ Full batches of 8 scones(1 flavor)
~ Dozen cinnamon rolls
~ Wednesday sourdough bread drops
~ Every-other-Friday sourdough English muffin drops

There’s something special about pulling a full tray of muffins from the oven or a batch of scones baked fresh just for you. Everything is made in small batches, from scratch, right here in my home kitchen.

My last bake of the day just came out of the oven, blueberry lemon sourdough scones. 💙🍋

There is something so lovely about ending a baking day with scones. The kitchen smells of sweet blueberries, bright lemon, and buttery goodness, and they are ready just in time for afternoon tea.

It’s 2:30 on a Friday afternoon, the oven is finally getting a rest, and my baker’s heart is happy.

Wishing you all a peaceful afternoon filled with simple pleasures, a warm cup of tea, and something delicious to enjoy alongside it. ☕️
