Who says weddings have to happen on a Saturday?

This beautiful celebration took place on a Monday, proving that love doesn't need to wait for the weekend. ❤️

The bride knew exactly what she wanted: an abundance of red, peach, and white flowers paired with delicate texture on the cake. She was wearing red herself, making the rich burgundy blooms the perfect complement to her bridal look and the overall design of the day. The result felt romantic, elegant, and full of personality—just like the celebration itself.

Inside, the cake featured vanilla cake layered with raspberry jam and covered in vanilla buttercream. Always a crowd-pleaser.

I especially loved seeing the cake against the backdrop of the reception stage, where the floral installations echoed the colors and abundance of blooms on the cake itself. It all came together beautifully.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Wishing you a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and many sweet moments together.

One of my favorite parts of this business is the people.

This birthday cake was created for the daughter of a high school friend, and every time she orders a cake, we end up spending time catching up on life, family, and everything in between. It's one of those reminders that sometimes cake is about so much more than dessert.

For this 24th birthday celebration, I was sent an inspiration photo and given the freedom to put my own spin on the design. I leaned into the romantic vintage details with layers of ruffles, swags, bows, delicate florals, and whimsical dragonflies in a soft palette of dusty mauve, ivory, sage, and butter yellow.

Inside, the cake was just as special: rich chocolate cake filled with pistachio ganache and covered in vanilla buttercream. Chocolate and pistachio is such an underrated combination, and one of my personal favorites.

Happy 24th birthday, Geena!

One cake. Two graduates. Three schools. 🎓

When my client told me the theme was "moving up" and gave me complete creative liberty, I knew this cake needed to tell a story.

This three-tier design celebrates two very important milestones: one student moving up to middle school and another moving up to high school. The ladders connecting each tier symbolize the climb from one chapter to the next, while each school mascot represents a stop along the journey.

The flavors were just as fun as the design:
🍫 Bottom tier: Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream
🍪 Middle tier: Oreo cake with cookies-and-cream filling and vanilla buttercream
🍰 Top tier: Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream

I love cakes that go beyond a single theme and tell a personal story, and this one was all about growth, achievement, and taking the next step toward the future.

Congratulations to both graduates! Whether you're heading to middle school or high school, take a moment to celebrate how far you've come. The next adventure is waiting, and judging by this cake, you're already climbing toward great things.

When you're turning five and completely obsessed with Huntrix, your birthday cake simply has to match the energy. ✨🎤🪩

This vibrant cake was created for Zara's 5th birthday and featured all the sparkle, disco balls, stars, and purple glam that a true Huntrix fan could want!

Inside was a confetti cake filled with vanilla cream, crumb coated in cotton candy buttercream, and finished in vanilla buttercream. The cotton candy flavor added a touch of whimsy while the vanilla finish kept everything balanced and delicious.

The textured buttercream design was dusted with iridescent glitter, giving the entire cake a beautiful shimmer that caught the light from every angle. Combined with the disco balls and metallic accents, it brought just the right amount of sparkle for a little girl who loves to shine.

Happy 5th Birthday, Zara! I hope your day is filled with music, dancing, cake, and all the Huntrix magic your heart could handle!

Graduation season is in full swing, and this celebration was all about honoring two members of the Class of 2026—Benjamin and Mason! 🎓

Mom came to me with a design she loved, and together we created this classic graduation dessert set featuring a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and coordinating vanilla cupcakes topped with vanilla buttercream.

The timeless navy and white color palette, and the graduation cap, diploma, and elegant piping details, made for a design that felt both celebratory and sophisticated—perfect for marking such an important milestone.

Congratulations, Benjamin and Mason! Wishing you both all the best as you begin the next chapter of your journeys. Here's to new opportunities, exciting adventures, and a future filled with success!

Sometimes the best cake orders arrive at the most unexpected times.

While I was in Italy, I received a call about a last-minute engagement cake needed the week I returned home. Normally, squeezing an order into an already busy schedule can be challenging, but this one was an easy yes.

The cake was for a coworker who has been one of my biggest supporters throughout my cake journey. He has always cheered me on and trusted me with his family's celebrations. How could I possibly say no?

Then he sent me their engagement photo.

Just look at that backdrop! The mountains, the sunset, the moment itself—it looks like something straight out of a movie.

As always, he gave me complete creative liberty. The only non-negotiable was the flavor: key lime pie cake, a family favorite and the perfect choice for a summer engagement celebration.

For the design, I kept things elegant and timeless with a delicate floral texture that let the occasion speak for itself.

Congratulations, Sarah and Andrew! Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, adventure, and beautiful memories together. Thank you for allowing me to play a small part in celebrating the beginning of your next chapter. ❤️

Yesterday was every wedding cake baker's nightmare.

Picture this: a beautiful winery, a rustic barn reception space, temperatures pushing 90 degrees, no air conditioning, open windows with no screens, and a buttercream wedding cake.

What could possibly go wrong? 😅

The venue itself was gorgeous. The sun was shining, the flowers were stunning, and everything looked perfect. But the moment I arrived, I knew there was no way this cake could sit in the reception space until serving time. It would have turned into a puddle and needed to be served with a spoon.

To make matters more interesting, I still needed to add the fresh flowers provided by the florist. So off to a nearby building with a kitchen we went. It wasn't exactly cool in there, but it was at least a few degrees better.

Once the flowers were placed and the cake was finished, I rewarded myself with a glass of wine in the tasting room while waiting for things to settle down.

Before leaving, I checked to see if catering had moved the cake to the reception area.

They had not.

And for reasons I still cannot explain, I volunteered to do it myself.

This meant carrying an unboxed two-tier wedding cake from one building to another. One trip. No safety net. No do-overs. If I tripped, the cake was done for.

As I carefully made my way across the property, guests kept telling me how stressful it looked.

Trust me—it was. 🤣

Thankfully, the cake arrived safely. I touched up a couple of spots that had gotten bumped during the journey and breathed a huge sigh of relief. The buttercream was incredibly soft from the heat, and by then the wind had started picking up ahead of an approaching storm. As I walked back to my car, all I could think was, "Please don't let leaves, bugs, or debris find their way onto that cake."

The good news? I got to see the newlyweds, congratulate them in person, and leave knowing the cake was exactly where it needed to be.

Here's hoping the weather didn't put a damper on their celebration and that everyone got to enjoy a slice of cake after all.

When one of your long-time followers finally decides to splurge on a custom birthday cake, you make sure it's worth the wait.

My client's request was a cake with a 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘯 vibe, and I immediately fell in love with the idea. Soft Tiffany blue buttercream, touches of gold, and an abundance of vibrant orchids came together to create a cake that felt elegant, romantic, and just a little bit dramatic—exactly what Lady Whistledown would approve of.

I especially love how the bold fuchsia orchids pop against the soft blue backdrop, creating a design that feels both regal and tropical at the same time.

Thank you for following my work all these years and trusting me to create your birthday centerpiece. It means so much when someone who has watched from the sidelines finally decides it's their turn to celebrate with a custom cake.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

This patriotic beauty was created to celebrate First Class Midshipman Ryan Hinrichs as he took the oath and became Ensign Hinrichs.

Featuring the American flag, a Naval Academy crest, and a traditional officer's cover, this cake was designed to honor both his accomplishment and the commitment to service that comes with earning a commission.

Commissioning Week is always special because these cakes celebrate more than a graduation. They mark the beginning of a new chapter of leadership, service, and responsibility.

Congratulations to Ensign Hinrichs, and thank you for choosing me to be a small part of such an important milestone.

Before I headed off to Italy, I finished several cakes for Naval Academy Commissioning Week, and each one deserves its own spotlight.

This cake was created to celebrate a First Class Midshipman taking the oath and becoming Ensign Triplett.

I loved the simplicity of this design. The soft blue buttercream, classic rope piping, and bold Navy "N" made for a clean and timeless cake that felt perfectly suited to the occasion. Sometimes less really is more.

Congratulations to Ensign Triplett on reaching this incredible milestone after four years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Wishing you fair winds, following seas, and success as you begin your naval career. ⚓️
