On Saturday we will be getting a shipment of pecans in from Mahaffey Farms. These pecans are not “off the street, out of your yard” pecans. These are improved varieties out of their orchard.

If you would like to preorder some please comment here by Friday with how many pounds you would like.

We shelled the best pecans we’ve ever seen today. Mahaffey Farms in Centerville brought over a few hundred pounds of top-notch pecans this evening. They halved out and cleaned better than any pecans we have ever shelled! The varieties they have are Cheyenne, Choctaw, Mahan, Mohawk and Podsednick pecans. The Grits are delicious!

Have you tried our smoked white cheddar poblano grits? We cut slabs of white cheddar from a 40lb block and cold smoke them with three different coal sources: oak, apple, and pecan shells. Come give them a try!!!! Goes great with some smoked turkey.
