Hey Friends… in an effort to revive JPG (JUST PLAIN GOOD), I thought I’d tell how this began.
Let’s go back to when I was a child, mom
And I lived with Granny. I had already begun baking (somewhere around 8 or 9’yrs old. )
I baked my first cake. my mom’s birthday cake, homemade cake with homemade icing. I waited for her to come home from work.
After dark she drove up and I proudly picked up the cake and hurried to the front door, in an effort to surprise her.
As she opened the door, somehow the cake fell at her feet. I remember she chuckled and said something about it was the effort that counted. Of course I was heart broken but she made me feel so much better.
Years went by and I continued to do all sorts of cooking. Frying chicken. Mashing potatoes, desserts etc. inviting a friend or two on occasion and I’d cook the whole meal. Sometimes things looked great, but most of the time, the look was completely the opposite.
Granny always said… the cakes that look the worst always taste the best. She convinced me to keep cooking.. don’t stop.
So when God began to ignite a fire to bake for others, of course I needed a name…. And then it came to me…
Even when things don’t look good, the outcome is always JUST PLAIN GOOD.
So here we are!!!
I no longer bake cakes, etc for others BUT God has given me another avenue and here we go!!
Please continue to follow my page as we begin the Journey. It’s already been fun!!
OH BTW…. We are baking cinnamon rolls on site at events. That’s all we do go now… it a God led journey which we gladly follow!

Cinnamon Rolls straight from the oven!

Ever been invited to a wedding and you have to RSVP. Before you know it the wedding date is here and you forgot. You figure I’ll just go and surely, they’ll let me in. After all, I was invited. So, you clean yourself up and put on your best clothes. You look in the mirror and think, I look so good, there’s no way I’m not getting in. The wedding is at a beautiful gated private estate. You can’t wait to see what’s on the inside. This is going to be a special night and it cost you nothing. Then, there’s a problem. At the gate, they ask your name and tell you that you’re not on the list. You tell them, but I was invited. No matter how much you argue, they send you away, telling you that it was your responsibility to accept the invitation. That’s Heaven. God wants you there. He sent you the invitation. All you have to do is accept it. Not after you clean yourself up. Not when you “look” presentable, the way you think you’re expected to look. No, you have to accept before it’s too late. Otherwise, you’re not getting in. Don’t wait until it’s too late to respond.
