Although our primary business is custom cakes, we have a pretty Cafe area where you can sit and have Our main activity is custom cakes. We also serve sandwiches.
You tell us what you would like and we will design and make you the cake of your dreams ....
We have a few tables for those folks who would like to enjoy an awesome cup of coffee with or without a delicious pastry.

Today’s go to both the Cake Artist Cafe and River and Rail Cantina (The Cranford Social) for making my sister’s baby shower ! I know when I recommend these local businesses people will always be satisfied and happy- so I will continue to shout them out from the rooftops and be a returning costumer for life!
This was our families second event at and they helped us knock it out of the park again. John and Trish really have something special here, the location, the attention to little details, the friendly atmosphere… this gem is really the perfect place to host any event!
After using the for my daughters first birthday cake I knew they’d be the perfect recommendation for the baby shower cake. gave them some ideas and they made this gorgeous-and delicious- cake that really elevated the whole day!

The bakery has become known for Ligia's incredible cake creations, as well as its assortment of cupcakes, cookies, pastries, and more. March is Women's History Month, and in honor of that we're spotlighting some of the women who help make Downtown Cranford the thriving community that it is.
This April, Ligia De Jesus will be celebrating 10 years as the owner of Cake Artist Cafe, located at 8 Eastman Street. In the time since Cake Artist Café opened its doors, it’s become known for Ligia’s incredible custom cakes. The bakery has also added additional products such as hot cocoa bombs, pastries, Portuguese custard cups, and more.
“I started this business because I love being able to combine my love of crafts with delicious baked goods,” said Ligia. “This job allows me to get creative, and I’m always learning new skills and techniques.”
Ligia loves the independence that comes with owning her own business. “I appreciate being able to control how things are done from beginning to end. When you’re a business owner, the final product is a representation of you.”
