Hello there! My name is Tiffany Landweer, founder and creator of my own small-home bakery Tiffyland baking. I’ve always had a knack for cooking and baking. I love experimenting, learning from my mistakes and making things taste extra delicious and wondrous. I also love being creative, am a perfectionist, and love trying new things and testing my baking limits. One day one of my friends asked me to bake a cake for her daughter’s birthday. I’ve never in my life done something this grand before. So I thought, “What’s the worst that could happen?”. She came up with a theme and immediately my mind went wild with ideas. There were so many cool things I could do!! I decided on a smaller 3 tiered cake because I had so many ideas! I wanted to blend a few of them together and let’s face it, you can’t shove too many ideas onto one simple cake right? So off we went! I had the idea of doing a treasure map bottom tier with graham cracker crumbs on the side to look like sand, the middle tier would be a Pirate Cartoon version of her daughter (made entirely out of buttercream frosting) also something I’ve NEVER done before, with Happy Birthday in Pirate Font. The last and top tier would be surrounded by waves with an amazing little Pirate ship (she bought that I had to hand put together as it was the perfect size) atop a clash of blue and white frosting waves....and there ya go! My first ever “grand” tiered cake was made and born, looked beautiful and tasted amazing! P.S. the cake was devils chocolate with white chocolate buttercream frosting. All I did was watch a few YouTube videos to teach myself some new tricks and tips and I DID IT! So I thought to myself, if I could do this I could do ANYTHING! I could honestly get into the business of making more custom cakes and baked goods for many other people while also making a small living. One of the downfalls of living in a small town is we don't really have access to certain things. I’m sure there are a lot of amazing bakers here in our town but did we have someone who could make a 3 tiered Pirate Themed Birthday cake or some Gluten Free cookies, Keto Goodies or custom made cupcakes all made from scratch and at a fair price? So here I am! Tiffyland baking is here to accommodate your baking wishes and hopefully welcome you to an array of amazingly tasty treats!
