With a heavy heart we are announcing the passing of the founder of House of Douglas. He was Scottish, a farmer, a British military veteran, a bush pilot in Africa, and a baker. He loved Arsenal, Cessnas, the Beatles, and border collie puppies.

David Waddell was as tough and stubborn as they come. He fought his battle with leukemia with courage and strength till his very last breath.

Hello all! We have some sad news, House of Douglas will no longer be on the road going to festivals after Gulf Port Mississippi. After 31 years on the road we have made the decision to no longer travel and we are relocating to a smaller bakery and will continue to do mail orders.
This weekend at our current location we will be doing a large sale for everything in the warehouse, goodies still available.

This has been a strange year for all of us, this time of the year we are geared up and ready to sell at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, which is a massive festival and our largest even by far, this is out crew from last year.
This year, due to covid we’re finding new ways to survive, so either come down to our shop weekdays from day 10-5 or place a mail order
