There are two more Friday farmer’s markets in Telluride for the season! And later this week looks like a fine time for sunshine in the San Juan Mountains after this blessing of rain. Come see snow capped mountains and luminous golden aspens while stocking up from your favorite vendors. We are making lots and lots of extra goodies, including some special autumn pies.

And that means we have two more weeks of Thursday afternoon pickups at the bakery in Cortez before a short fall break. Grab and go walk-in bakery days will resume in November!

Thank you for all of your support this season! We’ve loved seeing you every week and knowing the pies found happy homes all summer long.

We have been coming in early and staying late to make wonderful things for you!

Rain or shine, we will be set up on the south end of Oak St at the Telluride Farmers Market this Friday. With just three more markets left for the season, get it while you can!

Thank you for all of the Thursday evening pickup orders at the bakery this summer! Local support keeps small locally owned businesses like ours in our local communities.

We have two more Telluride Farmers' Market Fridays and two more bakery pickups Thursdays in October. After the last Friday market on October 9th we will have a short fall break, and then resume walk-in grab-and-go days at the bakery in November.

It’s going to be a beautiful day tomorrow, and we hope to see you at the Telluride Farmer’s Market for holiday Babka!
We will have Chocolate Babka and Glazed Cinnamon Babka to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, along with all your favorite Sweet and Savory Pies, Cookies and Muffins (etc). See you at 10:30 on Friday.

Our popular Carrot Cake Muffins are gluten and dairy free, made with a heap of organic carrots, coconut, and free range eggs. They have been a perennial favorite since the dawn of The Pie Maker in 2013, and we are proud to send hundreds of them home with you all every Thursday and Friday this summer.

Order online or leave us a voicemail for pickup at the bakery in Cortez on Thursday evenings, or come see us at the south end of Oak St in Telluride on Fridays through mid October.

Apparently it’s that time of year again, when local small businesses are pitted against one another in a social media popularity contest while the local newspaper drums up advertising revenue. We’re not sure how organic these votes are, but we appreciate and welcome your support in any way that you like. There are a few more days to click the link and vote for your favorite bakery.

What IS organic is most of our ingredients, though sometimes Local wins over organic certification. We have been making small batch, made from scratch pies and pastries in Montezuma County for well over a decade, everything created with care and love. We believe in authenticity and integrity, and none of our baked goods EVER came frozen from a food supplier. Everything we sell represents hours, days, and weeks of painstaking labor to bring you the best that we can make.

Thank you for your ongoing support for all of these years. For summer 2026 you can order ahead for pickup on Thursday evening, but weekend hours and popup events will happily resume this autumn.

We will have a big pile of pie available at the Telluride Farmers' Market this Friday. Come see us down at the bottom of South Oak St, across from the gondola station, first come first serve beginning at 10:30.

New this week is organic Key Lime with a gf pretzel crust!
We will also have full size and individual size quiche, mini organic local peach pies, and lots of other sweet and savory pies, muffins, brownies and cookies.
