Looks can be deceiving. Traditional Madeira Cake may appear understated… it IS a British bake after all 😜… but a hint of orange makes this one lush and scrummy. And unlike its American cousin pound cake, Madeira is not as sweet so you can enjoy with a little less guilt (maybe)…

I think I’m addicted more to the smell of my house when I’m baking than the actual taste of things. I come from a long line of smellers. I can’t count the number of times my Mom would say “smell this” prior to either “isn’t it amazing?” Or “do you think it’s bad?” AS IF I’d want to smell something bad 😜 let alone eat it. LOL. I wish I could bottle the smell of these cinnamon buns baking… it’d be worth a fortune. ❤️ ❤️

Chai Blondies. The only thing that beats the taste of this wee bit of spiced love is the smell of my house when I pulled them out of the oven. I bake one batch at a time no matter what the recipe and I think that makes all the difference in the world.
