When those fair turkeys and chickens headed to 4H auction, there were a few leftovers that didn't make the show ring...🦃🐔❤️

Not much goes to waste around here. Matt processed them and the meat went to the freezer and I turned the carcasses into Stock that's now tucked away on my shelves ready to become soups, stews, and family dinners this fall and winter.

Our kids worked so hard raising these birds for the fair, and this is just one more way their hard work pays off.

No jars for sale because of Ohio Cottage Food laws, but it's fun to show all those pretty jars. ❤️

I've lost count of how many times I've been asked, "When are you making raspberry jam again?" 🍓❤️

Well... today is your lucky day!

I don't make raspberry jam very often because raspberries are usually just too expensive. But I found an amazing sale, bought as many as I could, and made a fresh batch!

This year's batch is made with delicious Michigan tart cherries, but due to weather, the cherry harvest was much smaller than usual. Unfortunately, that means my cost for cherries doubled this year.

To keep making this favorite, jars are $10 each this season.
