It’s been a busy week around here, so the only thing happening with Sweet Halos right now is… waiting. 😂🧁

These little cakes are hanging out in the fridge while I do a little experimenting!

I’ve recently been talking with a few local stores about the possibility of carrying Sweet Halos, and one of the questions I’ve been asked is how long the cakes stay fresh. Since I’ve mostly done custom orders, porch pickups, and vendor shows so far, it got me thinking that it was time to do some more experimenting! I’m testing how well the cakes hold up over time and how the flavor and texture change with refrigeration. I hoping where refrigeration is an option that could help keep them fresh longer.

Not the most exciting experiment I’ve ever done… but it has involved some yummy taste testing. I’m excited to keep learning more about these little cakes and figuring out what the next steps might look like for Sweet Halos! 💜

Pre-orders for this weekend’s porch pickup close this afternoon! If you’ve been thinking about grabbing some Sweet Halos for your Labor Day weekend, now is the time to get your order in! 💜

Once pre-orders close, I’ll be baking based on the orders I have, so I can’t guarantee that every flavor or quantity will still be available for walk-up pickup.

It’s been a little while since I’ve filled the cabinet, and I can’t wait to see it stocked up again!

The cooler mornings have me feeling all the fall vibes! After having so much fun experimenting with the new lemon recipes, I’m excited to continue growing the Sweet Halos menu with even more flavors!

I recently ordered some supplies to start experimenting with a new fall-inspired Sweet Halos flavor, and I’m SO excited to start playing with this one! I’ll give you a hint... it might remind you of one of the best parts of sitting around a campfire. 😉

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a Sweet Halos lemon taste tester and took the time to give me such thoughtful feedback!

One of my favorite parts of getting everyone's feedback was hearing that several of you turned the taste test into a little family event. Honestly, that made me so happy! Creating something fun like this is exactly the kind of thing I love to do with my own family, so knowing some of you sat down and tasted the cakes together made the whole thing even more fun for me.

Thank you again for helping me choose the newest Sweet Halos flavor. Now I to pick the perfect name!
